CHAPTER 9 : Falling for her

IT'S Monday, we're preparing for our educational trip, medyo maaga kami ngayon na dumating sa school para maaga din kami sa venue ng play, halos dalawang oras din kasi ang biyahe papunta doon. Papaalis na din sa wakas itong bus service namin, sana maging maayos naman ang trip na ito at mag-enjoy ang mga bata.

Medyo malapit na rin kami when suddenly our bus service stopped mayroon palang nangyaring aksidente, tumaob ang isang truck na nagkakarga ng mga softdrinks, kung minamalas ka nga naman tsk!

"Paano po yan Sir, eh 8:00 yung start nung play?" Nag-aalalang tanong ni Shane.

Alam kong mahalaga ang play na ito para sa kanya, she really wanted to watch it for the first time."

"We have no option but to wait, titingnan ko kung ano ang magagawa natin." Sabi ko.

It's already 9:00 when we arrive at the venue yung upuan namin ay ibinigay na sa mga schools na nauna sa amin kahit na sa 10:00 am show pa sila naka-sked, 3 beses kasi ang pag-tatanghal sa isang araw, kailangan lang ng interval para magkaroon ng konting pahinga ang mga actors.

"Bakit niyo naman ibinigay yung sits namin sa iba, hindi naman ito first come first serve di ba?" tanong ko.

"Pero kailangan pong ma-occupy yung vacant sits, sa 10:00 am na show na lang po kayo, kung maaari mag-hintay lamang kayo ng kaunting oras." Sabi ng lalaki doon sa reception, we have no choice but to wait for the second show.

"Well class, we have no choice but to wait." Sabi ko sa mga students na medyo naiinip na rin.

Sa wakas tapos na yung unang show at magsisimula na rin yung pangalawa, napunta kami sa unahan malapit sa stage kaya parang blessing in disguise na rin dahil mapapanood namin ng malapitan yung play, makikita namin pati na yung muta ng mga actors hehe.

"Come on class dito tayo sa front, mas ma-eenjoy natin ang palabas kapag mas malapit dahil live ito." Pag-anyaya ko sa kanila, magstastart na kasi.

"My vacant sit pa dito sa tabi ko oh, sinong gusto sa pinaka-unahan?" tanong ko.

"Ako nalang po sir, unang beses ko to kaya gusto ko yung malapit na malapit talaga ako sa stage." Sabi ni Shane na halatang excited na excited na.

"Okay! Upo ka na dito." Sabi ko.

I wasn't expecting this though I think it's a bit romantic watching a theatre play together in the front sits, it's comparable to a couple who watches a movie on a date, pero ano ba itong iniisip ko, I should'nt even thinking about this.

The show had started and there is singing and dancing at the beginning, though it's my third time watching a show like this I'm still amazed on how the actors are able to perform flawlessly and gracefully live infront of a large audience, this is something that I dreamed doing before but unfortunately my social anxiety that time won't even let me face the big crowd.

The setting of the story is during the Spanish era in the Philippines. The story is about a young man who is a Filipino fell in love with a beautiful young girl who happens to be a Spanish. The girl's parents are against their relationship because of their racial and status difference. In the end the girl was sent to Spain and was forced to marry a guy she doesn't love, because of that she loses her sanity and commited suicide, while her Filipino lover after learning what happened to her, he died in grief.

"Napakaganda ng story kaya nga lang napaka-lungkot nung ending, sa huli hindi pa rin sila nagka-tuluyan." sabi ni Shane na naluluha pa rin dahil sa napanood."

Ang totoo niyan, kung sakali man na mayroon ding namamagitan sa amin ni Shane ay maihahalintulad ito doon sa kwento, isang bawal na pag-ibig. I'm her teacher and she's my student and that alone is already a difficult obstacle to overcome, the age gap is also great, I'm already 23 and she's only 14, this is really a forbidden love.
