Chapter Recap: Hunter and his TITAN have landed in a dark forest after being sucked through a portal that warped them from the destruction of the Ark. They have landed on an unknown world that is known as Remnant. Starr's chassis has been severely damaged, making her unable to operate. Now she and her Pilot will have to fight for survival in the cold dark wilderness, while encountering new friends and foes.
Hunter: Take your shot!
*The Grimm lunges at Hunter. He dodges and kills one of them with his Smart Pistol, while the other pounces on him*
WT-0417: PILOT! *SHE GRABS HER RAILGUN AND SHOOTS THE GRIMM OFF HUNTER*
Hunter: *He tosses the Grimm off of him* I owe you one, Star! Let's clear the area, together!
WT-0417: PILOT I AM UNABLE TO OPERATE IN MY CURRENT DAMAGED STATE, AND I REQUIRE YOUR ASSISTANCE. I HAVE BUILT A SNIPER'S NEST WITH SOME OF THE DAMAGED TREES FROM THE FALL.
Hunter: Open your eyes some more! Tossing out Pulse Blade! *he throws out his Kunai Sonar Knife, exposing multiple Grimm in the area* I'll leave the runners a little present behind.
WT-0417: WATCH YOUR BACK, PILOT. *Starr takes aim at her Pilot and shoots the Grimm pursuing him from behind*
Hunter: Thanks, sweetheart! I thought you were going to shoot me. Heads up, coming in hot! Check your fire. *he slides and jumps from the cliff using his jump kit, falling down and killing a Grimm with his knife* That's 4 down, rallying to you, Starr *He picks up his Kunai Sonar Knife from the ground*
WT-0417: UNDERSTOOD, PILOT. COVER THE RIGHT FLANK, I'LL TAKE CARE OF THE LEFT.
Hunter: No need to, I've already set traps for those monsters should they come passing on through that path. Apparently we've run into a pack of them. My pulse blade showed there was 20 threats in the area, so get ready.
WT-0417: ENGAGING GUARD MODE, TRACKING HOSTILES. *She uses her threat optics to highlight any threats in the area, and witnesses the traps Hunter had set which kills 8 of the Grimm following the duo to ambush them*
Hunter: That is 8 more of these bastards down, eyes forward. I told you those proximity grenades would come in handy.
WT-0417: UNDERSTOOD, PILOT. MY ANALYSIS OF THIS SPECIFIC GRIMM INDICATES THAT THEY ARE CALLED "URSA" ON THIS WORLD. THEY SHARE THE SAME TRAITS AS A GRIZZLY BEAR, BUT WITH MORE SHARP CLAWS AND SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH.
Hunter: All these bears remind me of Nikolai. Starr. Watch the front. I'm tracking a new variation.
WT-0417: SCANNING THE AREA, PILOT. IT SAYS WE HAVE A NEW THREAT CALLED "BEOWOLFS" APPROACHING OUR CURRENT LOCATION.
Hunter: As if this day could not get any more worse. First being sucked through a portal, and now I have to fight superhuman bears and wolves.
*As they wait patiently for the last Grimm to come their way, the Beowolfs ambush them from the trees above, surprising the duo*
Hunter: Look up! They're attacking from above! *Hunter manages to kill 6 of them with his Smart Pistol. But the final two pounce down on him and Starr, beginning to slash at his arms, chest, and face, while Starr suffers cockpit damage from the Beowolf*
WT-0417: PILOT, I REQUIRE YOUR ASSISTANCE.
Hunter: Starr, hang on! *He reaches for his Smart Pistol, but the Beowolf knocks it away from him, cutting his arm with its sharp claws. But Hunter is able to get the upper hand by using his data knife to stab the creature repeatedly in its neck, and saves Starr by tossing his knife into the creature's head*
