*Phoenix's POV*

We're all sat in the Great Hall, talking amongst ourselves listening to others talking happily.

I can't bring myself to crack up a conversation. I just rest my head on my hands and stare into the blank space in front of me.

George notices and gently places his hand on my back. I crinkle my eye lids shut, fighting back the tears.

I take a deep breath in and turn to look at George, he smiles at me warmly, I smile back and just as I'm about to say something, I hear a voice I never thought I would hear again.

"Phoenix?!"

The voice of a young woman calls, at first I think I'm dreaming, it sounds like a whisper and no one else turns to the sound.

"Phoenix?"

The voice calls again, a little more clearly, George notices me staring at the doorway to the Great Hall, waiting to see the person behind the angelic voice.

"Alizandra?!"

That gets everyone's attention. For some reason I recognise the voice, but I can't seem to put a face to it?

Until, someone I never thought I would ever see again stands at the entrance to what's left of the Great Hall, my Mother.

"Alizandra?!"

She cries, I try and speak but I can't say anything, it just comes out as a whisper.

My mum scans the room looking at everyone's faces until her eyes meet mine.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry or run away or run towards her, my mind is all over the place.

I finally get my head together.

"Alizandra?"

She ask, it hurts slightly knowing that it's been so long and she only just recognises me.

I look so much like her.

"Mum?"

I manage to say back, she starts crying, holding her arms out to me, I get up and run towards her, I haven't seen her for nearly 10 years, I was not gonna let this moment slide.

We collide in the middle and just stand there and cry tears of happiness, sadness, surprise every single emotion all at once in that one moment.

I don't care who's watching in just happy to have my mother back.

We both pull away slowly, mum cups my cheeks in her hands and stares deeply into my eyes.

I stare back into her bright green eyes, I really do look a lot like my mother.

"I missed you so much Phoenix"

"I missed you too Mum"
