And, no prizes for guesses if you know where Kengkla's family name is taken from. If someone can tell me what that is actually in the novel, I'll be grateful.

The first thing he has to do for the deal is to give Technic a ride in his car to the laboratory that is in LB College's campus which is not far from their school's premise. He had almost turned it down but then he recalls that Techno studies in that college, so he acquiesces. Technic asks him to have patience as his return is even better than the simple car ride in the Mercedes. Once their Lab classes get over, Technic tells him all smugly to follow him. Kengkla detests the thought. Nevertheless, he follows Technic's lead who takes him to the football field.

"There you go," Technic announces.

Kengkla searches for the lanky figure on the bleachers but to no avail. "What even-"

"Uffo," Technic grabs Kengkla's head and turns it to the other direction. "Look, there," he points someone in a blue-white stripe uniform shouting at a shorter figure in similar uniform. "That's my brother."

"What is he doing?"

"I thought you were in the Gifted Programme?" Technic stands akimbo. "My brother, P'Techno is LB College's football team's Captain." Kengkla's head snaps to his left.

"Are you serious?"

"Does it look like I am joking?"

"How- he knows how to play football? I thought he just liked watching it?" That explains the passion for the sports.

"Pretty sure you can't get selected for the game if you can't play it. Besides, this is the only thing he can do decently."

They watch as two new figures approach Techno and the taller one drags him away. The other one he had seen in the Farewell. Soon a practice match starts. Kengkla watches entranced as Techno plays. So, the older boy is good at something other than being nice. At one point, he goes full speed and crashes into the taller, muscular figure from earlier. He rolls on the ground before he is quickly up on his feet and helps his team score a goal.

"Although, my brother wasn't the first choice for Captaincy. P'Type, his best friend," Technic points at that muscular figure from before, "that one, turned the post down so he took it up. He is very foolishly dedicated to playing the Captain."

"Don't say that."

"He is my brother. I will say whatever about him."

"No,"

A few seconds later, a field security guard chases them away so the rising debate drops.

During their Summer Semester Showcase, Techno and his mother turn up to cheer for Technic. They both congratulate him too. Techno's mother not-so-subtly tries to find why Kengkla's parents didn't turn up. He tells them the truth. They are busy and do not have free time in their schedule. Techno, unlike his brother, gives Kengkla a look that the latter has come to associate with 'sympathy' that he sees often on his butler's face. The college boy ruffles his hair and informs him that he, Kengkla will also be going with them for dinner. Technic keeps protesting to that idea, trying to remind them that his classmate is rich and has more food at home to waste than what they consume in an entire month. Techno smiles at Kengkla and asks him,

"Can a P' not treat his nong?"

His question comes with a smile and can Kengkla say no to him? Kengkla would buy him an island if he asked him for that.
