"Hey, babe?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you seen my phone anywhere?" Sean asked as he searched the house up and down. He had searched every room in the house and had wandered back in the kitchen in hopes of finding his phone. "I've looked everywhere I haven't found it, yet." Sean had enough money to buy a new one, but he didn't want to. This was his third phone in nine months.

Mark looked back at his husband from the couch into the open kitchen, smiling slightly. "I haven't seen it. When did you last have it?"

Sean sighed as he found still no signs of his phone. "Last time I remember seein' it, I was talkin' with JB before they left for their class this mornin'. It was on the kitchen counter."

"Maybe you just misplaced it." Sean just rolled his eyes. "Do you want me to help you?"

Sean smiled and patted Mark's head as he started to walk off. "It would be greatly appreciated."

Mark sighed and got up from the comfy couch. Chica had made her way open to the door that led into the yard, Mark making his way over there and letting her out. Sean called his name and told him to help or else.

Mark stopped at the bottom of the staircase, one hand on the rail, calling up to Sean, who of which had gone upstairs again. "Or else what?"

Sean just barely stuck his head out to look down at him from the landing. Mark could barely tell from where he was but there was no doubt in his mind that his eyes flashed Anti's threatening green. "Don't test me."

Hesitating slightly, Mark nodded and headed upstairs to help. He mostly kept silent, answering Sean when he spoke. He tried to keep himself distracted by thinking happy thoughts but both memories and the mere thought of future events haunted him.

To Mark, Anti isn't all that terrifying as you'd expect. It's only when he's pissed off or upset is when you have to worry. Though the instances that crossed his mind were a while ago, he remembered them vividly as if they happened just yesterday. But the one memory that stood out in particular always seemed to make its way back to the front of his thoughts and he hated it.

Shaking his head as if to rid the memory from his mind, Mark thought as well as looked for Sean's phone and where it could be. After a few minutes, he had gotten a brilliant idea that he couldn't believe he didn't think of earlier. He called out to Sean and came back downstairs, meeting him back in the kitchen.

"Did ya find it?" Sean asked as Mark leaned against the counter.

"No," he started, "but an idea did come to mind on how we could look for it."

Sean's face lit up. "Really? What'd ya come up with?"

Mark reached into his pocket and pulled out his own phone, setting it on the counter. "We could call it."

Sighing at his own idiocy, Sean agreed. "Duh. When did we become such idiots?'

"I've always been an idiot. You just became my boyfriend and got dumber by the day. That's why you said yes."

"Probably. Either that or I'm just madly in love with you. Maybe both, now that I think about it."

Mark chuckled, "Let's just get on with it." He called his husband's phone and tried to listen for it to see if they could track it down. However, there was only silence. Once the call ended, Mark asked, "Did you turn the ringer off?'
