PROLOGUE

"Hello sir, how may I assist you today?" The small witch said, her long black hair falling softly over he shoulders. Her voice was harsher than what the underworld residents were used to, alluring in a sense. It oozed with lust and maybe a hint of love.
But the demon simply shook his head and grabbed a newspaper from the stack beside her, his eyes flashing a dangerous blood red. "Its quite alright miss, now if you'll excuse me I wouldn't want to be late for the human bank." He smiled at her now embarassed face, showcasing the pearls in his mouth.
"Yes...sir." She whispered, watching as he turned and left in a graceful movement. Almost as if he was flying above the ground.
Her pointy ears tinted red when the man in the suit finally exited the local ghoul store. Afterall she had just shamelessly flirted with a demon.
And everyone knows, you shouldn't get involved with a demon in that way.
Well- unless you had a death wish.

The demon government of South Korea has finally passed the law of soul eating!
All demons over the ages of 1,800 are allowed to eat the souls of human souls which are;
● heartbroken
● mourning
● depressed
● suicidal
● lonely
● lost
All adult demons can be given a 'soul card' which is a card that you must use to purchase a human with at your local 'human bank'. Once purchased you will be transported to the human realm to make your human happy.
Once the card has reached 100% positivity, and the human is satisfied with their life because of you- their soul is legally allowed to be eaten or taken.
This law has been in debate for over 700 years as human soul eating became illegal and only the souls of the dead could be bought. However many activists claim that dead souls lead to rise in demonic possession as well as demons being a subject to 'after death'- a mental illness which has risen over the past thousand years in demon teenagers and young adults.
As well as that, the souls of the dead have become harder to buy as the death to birth ratio is highly uneven in the human year 2018. Not to mention the high demand in souls has made them more expensive at nearly 50DEATHS per soul which only last 3 months.
However, purchasing a happy human soul for 25,000DEATHS can last up to 25 human years!
Therefore, the law was accepted and now you can apply for your very own 'human card' since the beginning of February!
Already demons have seen a significant change in their mentality, the growth of demon children has also increased rapidly. Many demons are happier and eviler than they have been in 100,000 years!
There are only 2 rules to this law!
One being the rule of RESTRICTED EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENTS.
In many demon states, being emotionally attached to a human/s isn't illegal. However the government strongly advised you to NOT get attached to the humans you purchase with the 'human card'. This is because these humans have been documented as 'TO DIE.' meaning if you meddle with the binding law to death your demon status could be heavily affected.
