Saturday Night

4. Anna

I slept all night and most of the day in Cara's bed.

"Rise and shine A." Cara and Rebecca shook me till i was awake.

"I'm awake! Sto.." I yawned in the middle of the sentence.

"Well I need to leave now because I'm going to church soon with my family. So you two have to leave now." Cara said as she tossed my clothes on the bed.

"It was fun yesterday don't you think?" Beccy changed the subject.

"Yeah it was pretty fun for me but I think it was more fun for Cara! You two are so cute, just imagine when they are getting married." I started to laugh.

"Stop it! I don't think he likes me that way, he can't like me. That's impossible." Cara's eyes went from happy to a little sad. "I need to go to the bathroom."

"I didn't mean to upset her, I promise!" I told Beccy.

"Don't worry about it she'll get over it. Just get dressed."

I did as she said. I took my bags and left. I feel sad now because I made Cara feel sad. I took my headphones and started listening to my favorite band so that maybe could make me feel better. The music got in to my ears and I started to sing along.

"Anna?" a voice said behind me. I took out my headphones.

"Yes?" I turned back and I saw Isaac looking at me with his friends. I think they heard me sing so I started blushing.

"I'm sorry if I scared you, I just wanted to ask if Cara likes me." He looked down at his shoes. His friends stood behind him.

"Isn't it ob... Ehrm.. I mean do you like her?" I didn't want to expose Cara's feelings for her crush unless she wanted me to.

"Yes or atleast I hope so. I've liked her for almost a year now without knowing if she liked me back." I could still hear that he was shy when he said that. "So does she like me?"

"I think you could ask her"

He said ok and left. As soon as he got out of sight I called Beccy.

"OMG Beccy? Are you still at Cara's house?? Is she with you know?" The words came fast out of my mouth.

"Yes I'm still here..and she is here also...Why?" She probably was confused.

"Put it on speaker now so Cara can hear me."

"Done" in the background I heard Cara say hi.

"OK so I met Isaac and he asked if you liked him, then he said he liked you for almost a year!" It took long before I got a reaction or maybe they just turned off the microphone.

"OMG!" I heard. "He liked me back... for a year, I've liked him for two years. Why didn't he tell me before? Why didn't I tell him before?"
"I got to go now. I just wanted you to know and by the way Cara sorry if I upset you."
"It's fine. Bye."
I put my headphones in my ears again and walked home.
