Mimi took her grandchildren to an amusement park.
Otis won a stuffed animal for his nieces. Even though they felt too old for stuffed animals, they both loved the gesture.
As they were eating lunch, Otis was texting his girlfriend he met in college. She was majoring in history.
Carrie sneakily tried to read the texts. 'HE IS SENDING HER KISSING EMOJI'S!' She squealed.
'Carrie stop reading!' Otis snapped. 'Don't act like you have never liked a someone before.'
Mimi chuckled.
She knew that the previous year, when the twins were in their freshman year of high school,
they both had a crush.
Carrie had a crush on a straight A student in her class.
Jolie-Miranda had a crush on the quarterback of her school's football team.
They had only told Mimi.
It was their little secret.
