Suspenseful violin played through the morning, the wind carrying the sounds far away. The sun was bright and shining upon the violinists form, showing her flawless face. She had pale skin and a button nose turned upwards with large, cat-like gray eyes. Her lips were thin and pink, parted slightly showing her straight, pearly white teeth. Her hair was blue-gray, glossy and pretty. It was up in a short pony-tail on the back of her head, tight but loose, in a complicated knot and then flowing out as it was supposed to. She had long side bangs covering her small ears and just about reading the end of her neck as it only slightly curled in. Her bangs covered her right eye, while the smaller, other half stayed on the left, uncovering her left eye. Her blue-gray eyebrows were very thin, and her eyelashes were thick and long and black. Travelling down, she had on a white tailcoat that ended a little below the knee with an open front. This tailcoat was also shoulder-padded. Her vest was a very light blue with buttons in the front, and then a blouse underneath with a stand collar and long sleeves. She wore low rise white dress shorts and buttons a little to the side. These shorts also had belt loops, but they were ignored. Her boots were victorian and three inches, stopping at mid-calf and were white, the white laces in the middle going almost all the way up to the top. Around the white laces, literally white lace. On her small hands were tight white gloves that stopped at the wrist. In her hands was a shiny violin and a bow. Inside was a tag that said 'Mystics', written in cursive. It was where the beautiful violin was made. Engraved on the side was Haruka Li, and her name meant Distance.
Once she finished up, she tucked away her violin and bow in the gray case of hers before walking back into the mansion and off of the terrace. Haruka worked as a part-time butler, and as long as she was around her young master, Chive, would not be injured. She lived and slept and did everything at the mansion, though also had to go to school. She was a second-year highschooler and was in class 2-B. As usual, she was at the top of her class. She had perfect scores in everything.
Her job consists of organizing things for the young master, and drawing baths and what not. She only exists to serve him and him only. Of course. It is butler obligation.
She walked into the kitchen silently and up to Miu, the maid. Miu had short brown hair with bangs almost covering her eyes and pale skin. Her eyes were a chocolate brown, and she wore a maids dress with an apron and some mary-janes. It was very simple. "Miu." Haruka started. You could tell that she was a suprano, even though she did not sing at all. Her violin did the singing for her-- she was in love with her violin. She was in love with the rich sound it produced at her own hands. She gained skill every day. Haruka was pretty much an expert with her violin. "Drop this off in my room. I'll take the tea and cakes to Chive-sama." She said, holding out her case to the maid. The made nodded and took the case before turning around and walking out the door. Grabbing the carts handles, she wheeled it down to Chive's room calmly. Her footsteps echoed throughout the hall; click, clack, click, clack.
She knocked on the large door to his room before entering. Chive sat at his large desk, clicking his pen on said desk. His brown eyes rolled up to meet her gray ones. "Say who it is before entering, baka." He insulted, frowning and then turning in his chair to face the sun. "You have school this morning. When is Junichi coming?" He asked, before turning back around as Haruka placed the cakes in front of him, as well as a cup of tea.
"Junichi will wake in half an hour, just before I leave. He will be down here soon." Haruka said, her arms folded behind her back. Chive nodded and sipped at the tea in his hands, his blue eyes squinting some. He seemed to be in thought. "Junichi is my favorite out of you all." He said, as he set the cup back on the small cake. Haruka did not blink as he said this, grabbing a white hanky from her back pocket and walking up to him, dabbing the corners of his mouth. He wasn't exactly a clean eater, but of course, Haruka did not mind as she cleaned it off. She'd do anything for him. Not only did she have to, but she want to. Chive was her sister's best friend's son, and she would take care of him for them. She promised.
Hardly a half an hour had passed before a handsome man with long purple hair held in a low pony-tail came in. He had beautiful blue eyes and wore almost the same thing as her, only his tailcoat was black, and he wore a white vest as well with some black dress pants and shoes. He looked dashing, as always, but Haruka didn't care. Every woman he was around fainted and blushed, while she just stood there. He was kind, yes, but Haruka just didn't think he was as great as everyone had made him out to be. Plus, she thought that there had to be another side of him-- nobody was just calm all the time. She wasn't. When she herself was around, he would go out as well, having the time of his life with his other handsome friends, while she was there day in and day out, hardly ever sleeping and just working herself. You couldn't tell she hardly slept though because oddly enough, she didn't even have bags under her eyes to prove that she didn't. Maybe it was a blessing, but maybe it just wasn't.
Back to Junichi. He had long purple hair held in a low ponytail, his sidebangs were long, ending at the middle of his neck, while more bangs almost covered his oceanic blue eyes. He had pale skin and he was tall with a muscular build. His nose was straight and his eyebrows were thin, and his lips were perfect. His jaw looked strong, and his shoulders were nice. He was thin but he wasn't skinny. You could see his muscles right through his clothing-- besides his coat, of course. He stood at 6'5 while she herself was only 5'4. She wouldn't lie to herself-- sure, she was on the short size for an almost sixteen year old; but she had no problem with it.
Almost frowning, Haruka bowed to the young master before grabbing his cup and plates, putting it on the cart and then wheeling it out. She could feel his gaze on her as she passed by, though she only ignored it as she shut the door behind her. Hmph. Baka, thinking he's so high and mighty.. I've known Chive his whole life, and yet he picked Junichi over me. Tch. People always pick favorites with me-- always compare me to others. I'm never the better one-- never the one as talented and loving as my sister, who can play the clarinet and piano like that. I've been playing the violin all my life.. I've always tried to reach my parents expectations.. but every time, she raises the bar..
Glaring, she dropped the cart off into the kitchen before swiftly turning around and walking out. It took five minutes to get to her room, but she did. Her room was plain-- a black queen-sized bed with white covers, blue walls, a white desk, a closet, a tv hung on the wall, a dresser, and white carpet. That's all there was to it. Of course, there was an end-table right beside her bed with a small lamp, a few shelves of books under the TV, and a lap top on the desk, it was quite boring. No pictures were hung up on her walls, nothing out of place. It was clean and organized-- like the maids had done for her. She didn't mind.
Frowning, she changed into her school uniform, consisting of a white, long sleeved, button up shirt with a blue tie around the collar, a white jacket with the school's logo on the right shoulder (just a simple sword piercing through the letter M) and then a short blue skirt. She also wore knee-high white socks with simple brown penny-loafers. Simple enough. She didn't change her hair. She looked so different in her outfit.
And she was off to school. Not her hell, but not her haven eather.
