Things had gone well over the last few weeks; Mikey had healed up nicely and there was no more drama going on. For now at least.

Mikey's POV

"Hey babe, y'okay?" i said into the phone when Y/n called me.

"Mikey, i need you," she said frantically, "I don't know where I am and i- i need you to-"

"What? What happened, what's up?!"

"I was coming to your place and I heard someone following me and I went through the woods and now I'm lost and I'm in a tree and..."

"Stay there. Are they still there?"

"I think so," she said quietly, then went silent.

"Babe?"

She was silent for a moment before speaking again, only in a whisper, "they just went past me."

"Did you see any faces?" i asked as i left my house to go and find her. I wasn't going to let anything happen.

"No but one of their voices sounded familiar..."

"Who was it?" I asked, running towards the woods.

"I don't know, I just recognised their voice," she said and then shushed me as I ran into the woods.

"Where are you? Can you see anything?"

"Trees."

"Fuck off, do you want me to find you?" I chuckled.

"Fine," she chuckled back, "lots of trees and you know that creepy building? The one that's definitely got a ghost living in it?"

"Yeah? The little one with the danger signs on it?" I raised a brow heading towards it.

"Yeah that one!" she whispered, "i'm like kinda next to that. Like, I could probably jump onto it..."

"Do it," i told her, "if you're safe to, get onto it, they've got less chance of seeing you then."

I heard, through the phone, that she jumped onto it, and I sighed with relief. She was safer there. "Lie down babe," i told her as I spotted two hooded guys a little ahead of me.

"Okay, I'm lying down," she said and I nodded, trying to keep an eye on the two guys ahead.

"Babe, how many was there?" i questioned, whispering into the phone.

"Two."

"Wearing black hoodies?"

"Yeah, with bandanas or something over their faces," she told me and I went off the path, pretty sure it was them.

I pulled my gun out of the back of my pants and shot it into the air, then sprinted.

"Was that you?" I heard worriedly down the phone, "tell me that was you."

"It was me," I chuckled, running through the trees. They hadn't seen me so I was safe to go and find her.

"Good," she sighed with relief, "did you see them?"

"Yeah but I didn't shoot them," I said looking around as I approached where she was.

"I can hear you," she sounded relieved and I climbed up onto the roof the building she was on. I was greeted with a tight hug and an "oh my god Mikey, I'm so glad you found me!"

"Nothing is ever gonna happen to you, okay?" i kissed her head and pulled her close to me, relieved she was in one piece.

She nodded, her head buried in my chest as we lay on the roof.

After a while, I figured it'd be safe to move, so I scanned the trees around us and nodded, "I think it's safe."

She nodded and let me jump down first, almost falling as I landed. I held my arms out for her to jump into and she cautiously scooted to the edge and let herself jump into my arms.

We sprinted.

We ran into a shop and took advantage of the counter full of chocolate, then walked home slowly, carefully, cautiously.

When we got home, however, my front door was ajar...
