Sticks and Stones a Fairy Tail Story

Three year time skip last day in the demon world-Lucy's P.O.V.~

It was the last day of training and I was failing miserably. The test to show that I was strong enough to go back home is today and I am very worried. I was in a total daze so when Skylar kicked me in the gut it caught me by surprise.

"Get your head outta the clouds Lucille!" She scolded me.

"Sorry, I was dazing off again." I sighed.

"Well start paying attention otherwise I'll keep beating you!" She mocked rolling up her long grey sleeves.

She can be annoying and self-conscious sometimes. I threw a punch to her left side which she dodged running into my knee which I quickly thrust forward catching her off guard and she stumbled backwards in surprise then grinned. 

"You've learned well. Your training is finally complete." We bowed to each other after she spoke.

We turned our heads when we heard clapping and saw mom. "Good job both of you! You're now ready to go back to earth land." Her brown eyes gleamed with happiness of how far iv'e come.

Me and Skylar nodded then ran to pack our stuff. Over the last three years we became really close. I told her all about Fairy Tail, how they were family to me, the good times, when Lisanna came back, and what they did to me so she swore to get revenge. No matter what I say she won't change her mind about punching Natsu as soon as she meets him. Thank god I only gave her his name.

"Oi! You done yet?" Skylar called from the other side of my door with impatience.

"Almost." I yelled back rolling my eyes.

I looked in the mirror to see my hair had grown to my waist and it had small streaks of purple similar to Skylar's.  I nodded in satisfaction and grabbed my stuff by the door. As soon as I opened the door I was face-to-face with Skylar who was holding up my belt with my keys and whip. I snatched it from her hastily and attached it around my waist annoyed with her grinning face.

"Can we go now?" She whined impatiently.

"Yeah." I nodded then opened a portal to magnolia with my new magic, just a few streets away from Fairy Tail.

Stepping through I looked around. I honestly missed this place. We began walking towards the guild and I held my guild mark up. It never disappeared and became my motivation to become stronger.  Stopping in front of the building, we noticed hardly any sound was coming from inside.

I was about to walk in when Skylar threw her fingerless gloved hand in front of me, "I go in first, in the meantime turn into a wolf and act as my pet."

Following her orders, I turned into a dark golden wolf with eyes the same old chocolate brown. She opened the door and walked in. Following I noticed some people staring at her strangely while the others just sat around and moped. What happened here?

"Hello, we would like to join the guild." Skylar spoke softly while scanning the guild for anyone looking suspicious.

"Okay." Mira sighed not even looking up, this isn't normal.

Mira gestured us over and when she saw me her eyes looked like they had a little bit of fear. Skylar reassured her and got her mark on her neck in blood red. She held off on giving me mine until later.

"If you don't mind me asking, why is everyone so down?" Skylar looked around and looked back to Mira who couldn't even bring herself to smile.

"Today was the death anniversary of one of the loved members who we drove to kill themself..." She tried to keep from crying.

Did they miss me that much?

Skylar glanced down at me and I nodded.

"Well if you ask me, I think that's pretty stupid." She sneered and some people looked at her shocked, "She sounds kind of weak if she would kill her self just because of some words."

"Don't you dare talk about her that way!" Natsu roared causing Skylar to smirk.

"Natsu don't..." Lisanana mumbled.

"So you're Natsu?" Skylar's expression suddenly became serious and everyone could tell she was glaring at him beneath her bangs, "So you're the little twerp that broke her heart?"

"What are you talking about?!" He looked confused and outraged.

"I was with her when she died. She died hating you, all of you." Skylar sneered again.

Natsu had enough and lunged at Skylar. I jumped in between them and growled at him.

"Are you so weak that you have to have your pet protect you?" Natsu shouted in anger.

"Who said it you she was stopping?" Sky crossed her arms resisting the urge to kill him.

This went on long enough. Everyone stared in shock as I turned back into my human form with a bright pink magic circle under me.

"L-Luce?" Natsu stared wide-eyed and stumbled back.

I glared at him coldly with my hair falling into its place on my shoulders. "What did you just call her?"

"What?" He was confused again as he stared at the eyes he missed so much.

"What did you call her?!" I yelled at him.

He flinched and Skylar grabbed my shoulder tightly.

"What is going on out here?!" Master came out of his office and saw me. "Lucy?"

I calmed down before smiling and hugged him. "Hey master, I'm back."

"But how? I heard you died!" He sounded astonished and befuddled.

"She fell through the barrier to the demon world and if it weren't for me to act as a cushion, she probably would be dead." Skylar smirked playing with her black shorts while leaning against the bar counter.

"It's true. And it turns out my mom is alive and she's the queen of the demon world! Me and Sklyar are sisters." I smiled happily.

"It's good to have you back my child." He cried and a lot of others started crying and ran up to hug me while others were too ashamed to even move.
