Seokjin flinched, woke up from his reverie. In front of him stood the tall guy from last time, smiling widely. Jin smiles back to the man in front him.
"Hello, Mr. Kim. We meet again." Jin said, as if this meeting is pure coincidence.
"Well hello, Seokjin-ssi, so you decided to try a sip from our café. Here is your coffee." Namjoon slides the cup on the table towards Jin's direction.
Jin says thank you with a smile and starts to sip his coffee. There was an awkward silence while Jin drank his coffee. Namjoon kept staring at Jin with dazed look. It's really such a blessing to see your crush in close up. After some time, Jin stopped drinking his now half empty cup. He took the umbrella leaning beside him and gave it to Namjoon.
"Here, your umbrella. Thank you so much again for lending me this umbrella."
Namjoon pulls a slight smile and that made his dimples visible. "No problem. Did you go home safely?"
Jin nodded. He took a breath and asks Namjoon, "Umm.... Namjoon-ssi?"
"Yes?"
"Uhhh... yesterday... when we met... did I say something weird to you? Or did I do something peculiar?"
Namjoon shook his head as a sign for no. Jin took a breath of relieve and sits back to his chair. Thank God he didn't do anything rash! He continues to drink his coffee. Namjoon still stares at him. The clock keep on ticking while each of them busy with their own thoughts. Suddenly wind blew and slipped inside café through the window from behind where Jin seated.
He shivers.
Of course Namjoon noticed that. Without wasting any single second he took off his coat and loop it on Jin's body. Jin made hand moves to indicate that he's okay and doesn't really need that coat, but Namjoon wouldn't take his coat back. So finally Jin wore that coat anyway -it's so damn cold and he can't take it anymore.
The sunny weather fades and wind starts to blow so hard. Fog is now surrounding the city, making it hard to see because everywhere is covered with fog. Namjoon finally decided to end their meeting when Jin sneezed for the fourth time. He went to the counter and said a couple of words to Taehyung and then walked to Jin's table, asking Jin to get up and go home.
At first Seokjin refused Namjoon when he said that he would walk him home. Well, he ain't no girl, he's not that fragile... But then Namjoon smiles and said that he's curious about Jin's house. Jin couldn't find the reason why he finally let Namjoon follow him, but hey, now here they are, walking to his house. They talked a bit about each pther. Light conversations.
It's Sunday so no wonder the streets are packed with people and so are roads, full of cars. Jin was walking slightly faster than Namjoon -well, that's just how he always walks; fast with huge steps. They were chatting and laughing when the green light suddenly turned red. Jin, being some steps in front of Namjoon, was just stepping his foot to cross the road. When the lights turn, a car was about to hit him if not for Namjoon's quick reflex to pull Jin back.
That. Was. So. Damn. Close.
Air escaped Jin's lungs as he trembles from shock. Behind him, Namjoon inhales and exhales nervously, also still shock too from that near-miss-accident. He gripped Seokjin so hard while looking to the older's eyes.
"S-Ss-Seokjin-ssi a-are you....o-okay?" He asked with shaking voice.
Jin took a long breath. "Yeah....I think I'm fine..? Thank you so much, Namjoon-ssi. I could've really died if you hadn't pull me back. Damn that was bloody close. I should have been more careful. Sorry."
Namjoon nodded as a sign for no problem. After some second the lights turn green again, so they crossed the road quickly. They wouldn't want something like earlier to happen again. JIn looked at his right hand, gripped tightly by Namjoon.
His hand is covered in sweat and is really uncomfortable. He was just about to shove his hand away when his eyes accidentally threw a gaze at Namjoon's face. Those sharp eyes, pale skin. That lovely smile, that cute nose. His magnificent eyebrows. All of them to perfection.
Jin has never really pay close attention to this guy, but that perfect face isn't just a handsome face. His face, the looks that he made, his smile, his dimples. It just.....seems oddly familiar. So Jin stared, and stared, until his right foot stumble to a small rock.
"Oh dammi--"
He almost fell but once again Namjoon held his arm so he didn't fall. Namjoon's lips were just about an inch apart from Seokjin's neck that Jin can felt Namjoon's breath hitting the back of his neck. Jin's heart started beating faster than normal. Is it because he's scared of falling?
Shit... why am I so reckless today!!! and why is he standing like that behind me>.<
"What's wrong, Seokjin-ssi?? are you hurt anywhere?"
Seokjin flinched, "Umm, no.. I'm sorry, I think I'm just a little bit careless today..."
A breath of relieve escaped from Namjoon's mouth. He then helped Jin to get back to his two feet and they continued to walk to Jin's house. And little did Namjoon know that the person beside him was staring at him intensely with heartbeat faster than a V1 car.
You are no longer a stranger to my heart, Kim Namjoon.
Jin smiled.
