The 16th Chapter

"Demetria. . ."

I, Mistress, have kept a secret. A secret that may change everything. And now, I am ready to reveal it.

"Quelly do I really have to reveal myself?"

"Demi, you have been here for half a year, don't you want to see the sun again?"

"I see the sun through Dimitri." I looked at her sadly.

I caressed my baby bump. "Do you want to feel my bump?"

Demi widened her eyes but she did touch my tummy.

"It's a girl?" I nodded at her question. We were in a secret room and I kind of regret not really fulfilling Demetria's wish to be a man.

"Mistress, I think I'm ready to reveal myself to the world again."

I looked at her and saw her hesitance. "You don't need to force yourself but if that's what you feel, alright.

I'll hold a meeting time for you to meet The Von Dutchs and my friends."

She smiled sincerely and I left her in the secret room.

"There you are!"

I screamed like  I watched a scary film. I opened my eyes and saw a laughing handsome guy.

"You scared me!" I slapped either of Kard's arm. His reaction to the slap made me roll my eyes.

"I didn't hit you that hard, you know!" He wiped the tears on his eyes. I really wonder why I like this guy and made a baby with him. And I realized that I'm a flirt. But! Only to him. I smirked.

"What are you smirking at?" I saw that his eyebrows furrowed. "Nothing!"

"What were you doing here? Are you hiding something or someone?" Now it's his time to smirk.

I looked at him with a straight face and walked towards my room. He followed.

We arrived at my room and was surprised there were monkeys jumping on my bed!

"Stop and get down from my bed, monkeys!!!" They immediately jumped off my bed.

I patted my bed with both hands and raised an eyebrow at the monkeys. 

"We're not monkeys, Ate Quelly!!!"

"Then why were you jumping on my bed?" I again rolled my eyes while leaning my back against the bed's headboard and I sat on the bed.

Annelize Hellena, Wilson Lawrence and my adopted son, Azrael Jackson looked at me with their puppy eyes.

"Mommy you'll still be here right?" Aj questioned.

"Don't you dare leave us, once you give birth to baby Kari!" Hellena cried.

"I'll be less bad if you just stay, okay?" Law cried too.

I smiled sadly and said, "One day, you'll understand me."

Yeah, I'm so vague even for children. I want to live with Kard wherever he wants us, his family to make a home at. Leaving is just part of life. I came here because someone saw my expertise.

But, things always change whether I like it or not.

A sad song started playing on my mind and it made me teary-eyed.

I remember the first time I came to this place. Just getting annoyed at Alfred Beet for getting this job to be an inventor for someone. Learning that I'm not that useless like I see myself back then. I gained good and interesting people to my life. Some are my enemies. 

I guess I'm quite thankful that they made my life interesting. I could never show my emotions if I stayed at my original laboratory. And yeah, a big thanks to Demetria. My greatest achievement.

I felt Kard embraced me and gently kissed either of my temples. "It's gonna be alright."

My tears finally fell and I smiled at what he said.

Moments later, I cleared my throat and told everyone that I want them to meet someone tomorrow.
