"Hey Tae?" Jimin asked as they walked back after school "how come you're always alone?"
"That's a random question" he said without stopping or looking back at Jimin, who for some reason unknown to him walked behind him most of the time
"I've been watching you.."
"I'm sure you have"
"Shut up! Not in thaf way, asshole" he stayed quiet for a second, maybe trying to find the right words
"You don't seem to dislike people"
"I don't. I just have no interest in most of them"
Taehyung's voice sounded a bit odd, but not upset, just.. emotionless
"You make fun of the things I like, but I rather spend my day reading or watching tv than hanging out with pretty much anyone"
"I see.
So you chose to be alone"
"Yup" Taehyung said, finally turning his head to meet Jimin's eyes
"What about you?"
"Oh I just hate people" he said, laughing it off
"Of course you do" Tae chuckled.
Jimin always got a little defensive whenever he asked about the people surrounding him when he was alive
They walked a couple more blocks, passing right by the store they'd been at the day before when a voice made them stop
"Hey!"
Tae turned to see a girl running to him
"Me?"
"She can't be talking to me, genius"
"Shhh" he complained causing Jimin to giggle
"Hi" she said finally catching her breath
"Hi?"
"I'm sorry. I'm Lyn.. we met, kinda, yesterday. Remember?"
"Oh, yes. You work at the store. What happened with the kid?"
"She was fine. We found her mom and Ingot her some candy"
"Good" he smiled awkwardly. In fact, they both did
"And you are?"
"Taehyung" he answered, surprised at the question
"Ah, Taehyung.. okay" she giggled "So.. I know this is gonna seem so weird and i'm probably gonna give you the wrong impression; but I think what you did was really sweet and probably most people would've ignored her and~"
She kept mumbling something, way too fast and low for Tae's ears to catch and Jimin just stared at her wondering if she was maybe having some kind of seizure
"I WANT YOU TO HAVE MY NUMBER!!"
She suddenly shouted, holding a piece of paper right in front of Taehyung's face as she stared at the floor, her face red as could be
"You what?!" Jimin widened his eyes
"You what?!" Tae replied, obviously shocked
This certainly looked like a scene from one of those anime he always watched
But it was cute.
Tae reached for the paper and slowly looked up to meet his eyes
"Thank you"
"Y-you can call me"
"I will.."
