"Kakashi, even if I told you who the father of my baby was you wouldn't believe me."

The young woman muttered, her emerald green eyes peering into those of her newborn child. She was currently in the third hokages office, waiting for his arrival.

It was Kakashi who found her wandering towards the village in the first place, he instantly recognized her as his former teammate. Her name was Ayumi, and he hadn't seen her since they were at least thirteen as she disappeared suddenly.

It was a hot case in the Konoha news for years, people didn't know wether Ayumi was dead, abducted, or if she left on her own accord. Her former sensei, Minato Namikaze passed away never knowing what had happened to his young student and never fulfilling his vow to bring her back home.

Kakashi couldn't believe his eyes or his ears when he found her, and her. . . companion.

The baby was perhaps the most unexpected twist, nobody would've ever expected Ayumi to have a child at such a young age, especially Kakashi!

Ayumi's first and perhaps only love as far as Kakashi knew was a certain Uchiha who was also a former teammate, but he sadly passed on leaving Ayumi all alone! Therefore he had no clue as to who the father could be despite Ayumi insisting she knew him.

Kakashi could only stand there in confusion as he pat Ayumi's back as a comforting gesture and gazed at the baby girl in her arms. He had to admit, the face of the baby was eerily familiar, but he couldn't exactly figure out who she looked like.

Yes, she had the same green eyes and dark hair as her mother but everything else was completely different. Kakashi felt chills run up his arms when he suddenly thought of someone he once knew, but ridiculed himself for even thinking he was an option. He's passed away, its impossible!

The entire situation was bizarre. They were by no means old enough to be parents in the first place. They were only seventeen year olds, and Kakashi knew that his old teammate had some explaining to do.

He also knew that Ayumi would be interrogated by the Konoha interrogation unit soon as her appearance and whereabouts were awfully mysterious, so she would leave him to be in charge of the baby in the meantime.

And although he urged her to tell the truth, she could only play with the small tufts of raven black hair on her daughters head.

"Kakashi, you wouldn't believe me. Even if I were to tell you who the father is you wouldn't be able to find him. He's a masked man with too many secrets, we don't know him anymore."
