Eleven's point of view, ages 13
We laid there, on Mike's bed, Mike's arms wrapped around my waist, me snuggling into his chest.
"This year was the most stressful year of my life," Mike said with a sigh.
I snuggled deeper into his chest, "You don't even know."
"I'm so happy your here."
"I'm happy I'm back."
"You mean so much to me, so much so, that I wanted to ask you if you wanted to stay the night."
"Hopper won't let me."
"I'll sneak in tonight."
"We'll make it work," I said as I kissed him on the lips.
Later that night I heard the taps on my window.
I opened the window and as he got inside, greeting him with a hug.
"Hey El," he whispered.
I sat down on my bed as he instinctively joined me.
I laid my head on his chest as I felt protected by his warmth as if nothing could possibly sperate us now.
Let's hope that's true.
I looked up at him and pecked him on the lips.
He smiled and returned the kiss.
"You mean so much to me, I risk getting grounded for you."
"You mean so much to me, I might get caught at by my mom at my house."
I snuggled deeper into his chest and I fell fast asleep, it's always easier to fall asleep with your lifeline safely beside you.
