~chapter 1: the realization
Ashes falling down, a horred experience has taken place, something nobody saw coming. An invasion from our foe's the british, they think we are just here to be their slaves. Horrible things happend, but I try not to remember what memeries I do have left. As I walk around to find my family, which are no-were to be found i wonder, Were they taken, or were they killed defending me and my tribe "ahh " Isay as I see my arm,my arm it's seriously injured, i'll just go to the first aid tent, wait it's burnt down. I must now except my fate to die like the rest of my tribe. As I lie down to die, I hear thunder " is it to rain? But there are no clouds" as I close my eye's, as it gets louder, and louder, and before I know it, im surrounded by men on horses, but before I cant get up I black out.
When I wake up im in a large white tent which could easily fit 15 people, with a girl about my age maybe a little younger long black hair tan skin and beautiful ocean blue eye's " hello " I tell her " hi " she replied. I try to get up but the pain is excrutiating. " Stop, you need to rest " she told me while laying me down. "But..... But-" "stop" she enteruptes me " no butts, you need rest" she said anxiously. " Fine " I say as if I must be somewere at that moment and I close my eyes, thinking " were are they, are they slaves now or worse, no they cant be, but they could be............ Stop!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't think like that, they're alive I just know it, I can fell it, just sleep and forget about what had happend"I close my eye's and sleep.
~chapter 2: alert
As I wake up I see the same girl as before. " Why, hello again beautiful " I say with a smirk on my face. " You're awake, oh and thanks" she said as she started to take off my shirt to check on my wounds. Apparently I was injured in more ways than one. "Wow" she said as she saw my body " what are they bad?" I asked " yes... Well no.. But, you're fit" she said as if she didnt see it coming. "thank you.... I think" I reply to her. "Can I get up now?" I ask anxious to move "uhhh..... Yeah sure" she says still starring at me. As I sit up it starts to hurt, but the pain leaves my body after a couple of seconds. " How are you feeling?" she asks finaly looking at my eyes. "Good, well better than before" I tell her hoping she wont return to starring at me "whats your name?" She askes me "Anevay (wich is the meaning of superior) what is yours?" I ask her. She pauses before she awnsers then she finally does " Angeni (wich is the meaning of spirit)" "thats a nice name" I reply in a smooth voice.
We sat there for a while just looking at eachother when she interupts the silence "oh yeah I was supposed to tell you when you wake up that Miakoda,Misae, andNadIe want to see you" she said as she sat up right, and placed her right fist on the bottom of her open left hand "why did you do that?" I asked "it's manditory when when speaking of the elders" she told me"oh" I replied as i sat up to walk out of the tent. the pain excrutiating, but I faught throught it. As Angeni walked me to the highest tent of their village, their village is bigger than mine was, it had about 30 tents and 4 longhouses when mine only had 15 tents and one longhouse I notice the mark of the wolf on her neck "whats that, on your neck?" I asked her while still looking at it. "Oh" she covers it "it's nothing" she said as if hiding something "mhmmmmm" I said raising one eyebrow "well it's just a,... Oh here we are" Angeni told me as if to change the sublect.
The teepee was a light brown with red and yelow ropes at the top. As we walk in they were saying somthing about a new member. "Hello my elders" Angenisaid while doing that thing with her hands. "you are released, Angeni" said Misae while all of the elders did the same sighn as Angeni. " you wanted to see me?" I asked in a normal voice as if they were just friends. "What is your name child?" Misae asked me " my name is Anevay, and i'm not a kid any more i am 17 years old" I said trying to gain respect, for i've never had any respect, for my entire life i've only had the childish jobs, no matter how hard i tryed to be apart of the hunt in my village. "Well Anevay what has happend to your village?" he asks astounded that I have talked back to him "the british invaded my village and either killed or kidnaped to sell as slaves " I said, I felt myself about to cry but I held it in. " so if they've invaded your village they are bound to invade ours... Angeni!!" He called. "Yes, cheif?" She said as she walked in and sighned "alert everyone who is able to fight to report to the training tent,.. we prepare for an invasion.
~chapter 3: training
As Angeni left, I to turned around and aproached the door. "Just you wait, you're staying right here" Misae domanded " but I wanna help" I retaliated "this is my village and I will say if you have the right to fight" he said in a raised voice. "But you dont understand, they took my parents away from me" i pleaded "MY DECITION IS FINAL!!!, now leave Angeni will escort you to your tent" he said as he sighned me but I ignored him, and walked out. Angeni was outside waiting for me "soo, how did it go?" she asked "i dont wanna talk about it" i said while she showed me to my tent. "well, i hope tomorow will work out better" she told me as she left my tent. when she left i laid down and said " me too"
