Kelsey's POV

Carl ran out with Jace. I just sat there. I mean what could i do. I heard arguments and then a gunshot. I was just steadily spitting out blood i thing my tooth came out. Carl later came in with blood on his shirt and said "Im sure you heard that, keep being a smart ass and you will be next" he said. "Funny i was just getting started with my comedy seen" i said already knowing what was coming. Of course he swung at me again this time breaking my nose. "Listen Lieutenant Smith you may be know to be funny but that s*** aint gone work" he said. "Ahhh you know im in the Coast Guard but its Lieutenant commander" i said. "I never said i cared" he said. "Oh just letting you know that i can take more bull**** than you can give" i said knowing this would make him even more madder. With that he kicked me in my stomach and the chair flew back. "The Coast Guard is nothing compared to jail" he said. "Your right the Coast Guard is way worse"i said. He then slapped me. Honestly i was about to pass out from all the blood i lost. But then i remembered i couldnt. I couldn't let him win. "Who did you shoot" i said. "Someone that decided to betray me" he said. "Oh they must have found better pay" i said. At this point you may be thinking im the dumbest person ever because i keep being a smartass when he could kill me any time. "You know you could die any minute now yet you still keep talking" he said smiling. "Thats me" i said. "You know we would have killed you sooner but we need you for something" he said. "And what might that be" i said. "Well you would be dead but my son fell in love with you, and if you didnt know we are in one of the highest gangs the "Juntos" which means together." he said. As soon as he said that i remember, Isaiah and I busted up a drug deal for the Juntos last month before i came back. And thats how Jace knows Isaiah. "Well I'll be dammed" i said. "Funny, i knew you would figure it out" he said. "But just because you son is in love with me doesnt mean you have to keep me alive" i said. "Oh but we do, see you will have the new heir" he said.
