For a long time I was trained to perfect my skills as a mage to uphold my family name but sadly I just wasn't good enough but my younger brother was.... And because of that all of my parents attention went to him while I was cast aside, barely given any attention at all but this didn't stop me from trying.

I was determined to prove them wrong to show them that I can be just as good if not better than my younger brother, that I do have what it takes to be the heir. That means to do whatever it takes, day in and day out I trained with everything I had, for the mage tournament that was coming up.

If you don't know what a mage tournament is; it's where families send their child or children to compete and battle till one drops out or they are killed, the winner not only proves that their family is the best of the mages but they are granted one of the five great Kingdoms. They are ruled by the best of the best, mages that took part and won placing their self and their families status high above the others.

If I won that not only would I prove that I am the best mage around, I would also show my family that I am more than worthy to take over the family's affairs. That they were wrong for pushing me aside and that I deserved their love and attention too, I just needed them to believe in me!

I sat down alone in the circle, chanting the proper spells to summon the Spirit that will help me win the mage tournament so I had to make sure the one I summon is tough and could actually give me a chance.

"Oh divine Spirit,

Bless me with your power,

And provide me with your aid,"(1)

The room burned bright almost blinding but before it got to that point I closed my eyes in order to protect my eyes from the light. Soon through my lids I could tell that it went back to it's regular lighting, my eyes fluttered open and I was met with two crimson staring right back at me.

Shocked I scramble away from them fast, looking the person in front of me up and down. It was a thin looking boy with long crimson hair tied back into two separate ponytails that matched his eyes but I think his eyes were a shade lighter, wearing fancy looking Chinese clothing.

He stared at me confused as he examined me as well. "Is there a reason that you're so shock to see me? I mean you did summon me after all" He's the one I summoned? But he looks so..... weak how can I possibly win with him? I grit my teeth as I balled my fist, clenching my fist tight.

God damn it why? Why couldn't I summoned someone stronger? Am I really that weak? I quickly stopped myself so I wouldn't cry, not in front of my Spirit.

"I know what I did... I was just caught off guard with you so close" I crossed my arms and tried to give off a stern and serious look.

"If you say so" He looked around the place, showing some interest in some things and absolutely none in others.

"Now I don't think I should have to say this but since I summoned you, I expect you to do what I say when I say it, it will be our only way to win" He stared at me unblinkingly for a bit before folding his arms behind his head while crossing his left leg behind his right.

"You sure are bossy" He shrugged. "But I guess so long as your orders aren't stupid I'll follow them" He then placed his arms by his side as I tried to hold back on showing my annoyance with his response.

Stupid orders? Like I would give out such a thing."Then we should have no problems" I said still trying to maintain a collective image for myself, I couldn't have him think that I wasn't it might make him lose faith in me as his master from now on, if he were to that could be a serious problem.
