The Sirens Song

My bare feet tapped along the empty boardwalk not making a sound. The clouds were pink with sunset and the water still as if it were made of glass. It was quiet, I'm not sure why. There could have been people behind me, talking, whispering but their words were blown away like a leaf on the soft evening breeze. The silence was chilling. This is not where I'm supposed to be.
I heard the song of the ocean, the song of the sirens, that was calling me. Without hesitation, I jumped off the edge of the boardwalk onto, into, the glassy surface. Fully knowing that the song of a siren was deadly, that I could not go back but the fact that it was deadly just made it more thrilling.

Cold rushing water surrounded my body giving me chills the coldest wind could never give me, but non the less I liked it. As I sank deeper into the water I thought the darkness would swallow me but as I sank down the colours only seemed to get brighter. Coral, fish and seaweed surrounded me, being illuminated by unknown light now that I couldn't see the surface above me.
Schools of fish swam around me forming a sort of flower crown around my head, weaving through my long red hair. The crown was made of different types of sea florals that I'd never seen before but that just made it even more beautiful. A few feet from the ocean floor I stopped sinking. I floated there, in the middle of the water, sea life all around me and I heard the song of the sirens once more. Kicking my my legs through the water, swimming through the luminous green seaweed I followed the song.

The water rippled off my skin and I made swirling patterns through the water with my fingers, it was almost like magic. Up ahead I saw three human-like figures swimming towards me singing a melody that rippled through the water like the magic off my fingers making the fish dance.
As they got closer I noticed there scaley fish tales, mermaid tales, siren tales, pink, purple and blue. I moved effortlessly through the water like I'd been born to swim. We met in the middle of a coral reef and I bowed in front of the purple tailed siren or as well as I could in the middle of the water. She let out a musical laugh and beckoned me to face her.
Looking down at my legs, with a wave of her hand they transformed into a beautiful glittering green tale. She gestured for me to follow and as we swam along and sang our music for all the ocean to hear I knew this is where I belonged.
