Chapter Ten.
"Aurora?" The next day, I walked out of my room to find a terrified Jordan, sitting on the couch, watching the news.
"What's up?"
"Look," he pointed to the TV.
I focused my attention on the television.
"...the last place he was spotted was in the local park off of Anderson Street with a mystery woman yesterday afternoon at around seven PM," they showed a picture of us in the rain, "We have been interviewing people in the park today. No one has a clue of his whereabouts. About a month ago, he was accused of-"
Jordan quickly shut off the TV, standing up, tears in his eyes.
"I thought I could do it, but I don't know anymore," he sobbed.
"Jordan...," I immediately embraced him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He had showered this morning so he smelled fresh. His black t-shirt was fresh out of the wash as well.
"Wait," I remembered something, "What were you accused of?"
He stayed silent.
"Jordan!"
Still silent.
I immediately rushed over to the remote, only to feel a pair of muscular arms pull me back.
"Let me go!" I yelled. He picked me up over his shoulder and I kicked and screamed.
"Put me down!"
He put me down, and said, "You can't know."
"And why's that?"
"You'll think of me differently. I can't have that, Aurora."
"I'm not talking to you until yo-" He cut me off by kissing me on the lips passionately, making my knees weak.
"Please?" He whispered, asking, "I promise you'll find out eventually. Now's not the time."
"Fine," I gave in. The feeling of his lips on mine changed my mind.
A knock on the door interrupted us from our moment of staring at each other. His breath tickled my face, and I said, "Hide somewhere. I'll get it."
He nervously entered my bathroom and I looked through my peephole to find Will and Jess.
I opened the door.
"We need to get Jordan out of here. Now," Will said, pushing past me.
"I saw the news this morning."
"If you're still here, you didn't see all of it."
"I guess Jordan didn't either," I sighed.
"Where is he?" Jess asked. They both looked quite pretty prepared for this.
"He's hiding in the bathroom," I said.
I got him out and they explained to is that they knew our general area. That meant that they were scoping out this area and that sooner or later, Jordan would be found.
And I would get in trouble as well.
Nervous, they explained to us that we were to all exit the building. Jordan put on a hoodie and sunglasses, and I put on my wig that I used to use for improv acting.
After we were ready, we gathered at the front of the apartment. I asked, "Where are we going?"
"My house is right outside of Seattle. It's a half an hour ride. Take whatever you need with you," Jess said.
I got my laptop and some clothes and shoved it into a bag. Jordan already had his stuff in a bag.
I set my bag down and was immediately shoved against the wall. My neck was caressed with kissed and I let out a gasp, knowing it was Jordan.
We got into a heated make out session for no reason. Jordan was controlling it.
"Jordan!" Will hit him on the back.
"Sorry," Jordan had tears in his eyes, "I might not be able to do that ever again."
My mind flooded with that fact. It's true.
I kissed him, telling him it will be okay.
"Let's go, I guess," Jordan said, and I said goodbye to my apartment.
I'm doing this for the love of my life, and I'm not regretting a thing.
