One dreary Parisian night, with rain drizzling down and an eerie glow emanating from the dimly lit street lamps below, Two green eyes peered down at the streets below. The creature in which these orbs belonged to seemed to leap off the roof with such ease. The metal tips of his boots clicked as he landed on the shingles of the dark cream colored building. The feline made his way over the brick wrapped chimney, and stopped. In his gaze stood a petite looking figure. Adorned in the most adorable kitty pajamas, and staring out into the dark shadowy park. A small smug smirk crept across the cats face.

"Oh Princess~" He purred, leaping down onto the balcony. As he landed next to the bakery girl, she let out a small yelp.

"Chat noir! You almost gave me a heart attack!" She pouted, gaining her balance once more from her almost gravity induced disaster.

"Oh i'm sorry, I just thought you might be glad to see me!" Chat flirted, leaning on the railing and slicking back his messy mane like hair with his clawed hand.

"You looked lonely and I thought I might pay my mademoiselle a visit. Though, I must say 2:00 am is not a very ideal time for someone to be hanging out on a balcony all alone."

"For your information you silly cat, I couldn't sleep." Marinette giggled, letting out a sigh and leaning more onto the railing.

"Fair enough fair enough." Chat smiled, but it slowly faded as he sat on the ground with a sigh.

"What's wrong kitty cat?" Marinette asked, sitting next to him. She placed an arm on his shoulder, but he looked away.

"It's nothing, really." He said, obviously trying to dance his way poorly around the question.

"Come on, I know somethings up. You're acting weird." She cocked an eyebrow. Chat couldn't help but smile at her.

"Alright alright, fine you win your majesty~" He said with a sigh.

"Oh so I went from Princess to your majesty now?" The baker girl lightly punched Chat's shoulder, and he smiled.

"So uh, I've been having this really bad feeling lately. Like something bads gonna happen during the next akuma attack." He began, looking at the darkened sky to gather his thoughts on what he was going to say next. Marinette scooted closer to him, leaning slightly on her friend's shoulder.

"And uh, Just incase it does happen, I uh, I just wanted to tell you that your the bestest friend i've ever had and stuff..." The cat blushed slightly.

"Chaton I-" She was interrupted.

"Yeah I know it's probably a long shot that it might, you know, come to me dying or whatever. I've got ladybug to protect me after all!" He laughed, making Marinette's expression grow even more concerned.

"But yeah, just incase you know? I'm just really glad your my friend Marinette." Before he could say anything else she wrapped her arms around him, drawing him into a big hug.

"I doubt Ladybug would let anything bad happen to you, and also, I'm glad you're my friend to kitty."

The two spent an hour or so talking, and Marinette slowly grew more tired. The girl ended up falling asleep in the cat's lap. He gave a sheepish smile as he picked up his sleeping beauty. On careful feet he crept into her room, and ascended the ladder leading to her bed. The room despite being so dark, had a warm, almost welcoming feel. The tom cat gently placed the baker girl on the bed, and pulled the sheets ever so gently over her. He did his best not to make a sound. As fast as he entered the room, he left. On the rooftops he bounded into the night, back to his own room for a good night's rest.
