Home is where the magic is

Papa?

A few days past before we could really do anything, we still had band and school was going to start in under a month, Alyssa and I had piles of work to do (stupid AP classes), but any time in between Alex was over helping us look for a spell that would work. It took us two weeks until we finally found something.

"Hey, guys, come look at this!" Alyssa got really excited all of a sudden, Alex and I jumped. We were looking through the same book, sitting really close together, once in a while our hands touched, pretty sure my cheeks were red the whole time and my heart was pounding. We walked over to Alyssa and read what she found.

"This is perfect!" I almost screamed, the spell let us go back in time, no one could trap us because it only let us go for an hour in our time frame, it didn't take much magic either. "We can easily do this, the only down side is that one has to stay to watch our bodies." We all looked around, who would stay?

"I will" Of course Alex volunteered, "You two need to see your families, Ill lock up everything, we will put your bodies in your room and ill stay right outside and be ready to turn if need be."

This was actually going to happen, after months Alyssa and i will be able to see our families again, even if it's only for a little bit. "Okay, lets get this going."

After about two hours we got everything set up, we were just about to start but Alex spoke up.

"Sam... can I talk to you?" What..

"Yeah, sure." I took him to my room but kept the door open in case Alyssa needed us. "Whats wrong?"

"I.. I just wanted to say... in case something happened... thank you.. you saved my family from a painful life of being trapped with the werewolf curse, thank you." He hugged me, he smelled so good, I hugged him back but had to let go. 

"We have to do this now, get it done and over with before dark. Full moon tonight."

"Oh, yeah." His cheeks started to get red, "Lets do it."

Alyssa and I started chanting the words from the spell, I can never tell what language some of these are anymore. The room got foggy and you could feel the magic thick in the air, the next thing we knew we were laying on the floor of the chamber I performed my last spell in.

Everything was so quiet, Alyssa and I looked at each other, we were in our old clothes, hair down to our hips almost, we almost cried with joy. We left the chamber and looked around, no one was in sight, Alyssa's castle was completely empty.

"Where.. where is everyone..." She sounded so scared...

"Maybe they are at my home, let's get some horses and go."

My castle was about 10 minutes away by horse, if the ran quickly. Once we got there I screamed, so many people were just... dead... I had never seen a dead body before and these were people that I had gotten close to... helped.. they were just gone, I stormed into the castle and ran to my dads room. On my way I saw the knights body. I stopped in my tracks, his armor was beaten and his helmet was down covering his face, I didn't stay long. I got to my dads room and was sobbing, "PAPA!? DADDY PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE ALIVE!" I was so scared... I heard foot steps and the doors unlock, there was my father, in armor with Alyssa's parents and knights. Alyssa finally caught up to me and stopped dead in her tracks, then she ran so quickly and flung herself at her parents, I did the same to my father. I just stayed there for a while, finally he looked me in the eyes, "Aliz.. you're... alive?"

"Yes papa, i'm alive, I'm so happy that you are! I saw the village... everyone..."

"Shush, don't, I know, its that evil witch, she's tried getting in here but cant because of the spell you put on it."
