CHAPTER 1

"So, I guess that's all for the meeting. I'll see you again next week. You can all go now."

Nag labasan na ang mga empleyado sa loob ng conference room at ako nalang ang natira.

"Urgh! Too many paperworks." Inis na sabi ko habang inaayos ang mga papel na nasa lamesa pati na din ang laptop ko. I was about to walk towards the door nang may biglang pumasok.

"Miss. The CEO wants to talk to you."

"Okay. Tell him I'll be there."

"Okay, miss."

Hay. After meeting with employees, with the CEO naman. Ano ba naman 'tong buhay na to. I want to rest na! Naglakad ako papuntang office ng CEO. Sumakay pa ako ng elevator kasi nasa top floor ang office nya. Pag baba ng elevator nag lakad akong derecho at bumungad ang secretary nya.

"Good afternoon, Miss. The CEO is waiting for you inside. Please come in." Sabay bukas ng pinto.

"Pinatawag mo daw ako?" Lumingon sya at ngumiti. "Wala ka talagang galang." Sabay iling.

"Pormal mo pa kong pinatawag, di mo nalang ako tinext." Sabi ko sabay upo sa upuan nya at patong ng paa sa table nya.

"I want it that way. Bakit ba?"

"Hay nako. Ano bang kelangan mo?"

"How can I explain kung puro ka tanong saken?" Sabi nya habang paupo sa sofa.

"Yeah, right. Eto na tatahimik na."

"Here's the thing. I need you to go to France for a week."

"What?" Pag tutol ko sakanya.

"Can you let me finish first? I'm not yet done, nag rereklamo ka kaagad." Iritang sagot nito.

"Oh. Sorry. Hehe."

"You'll be going to France because you have a new mission."

"A new mission?!" Bulalas ko sakanya.

"Are you happy or angry?" Tanong nya.

Ano nga ba? I am happy kasi antagal ko na ding walang mission. Pero sad and angry kasi nakakapagod yun! Like really draining!!! Di ako makapag decide. I want to go back to France kasi nakakamiss din dun pero iniisip ko yung pagod.

"Can I think about it first?" Sagot ko sakanya.

"Well you better think fast, the mission will start next week."

"Oh. Shoot. Friday nap ala ngayon." Sabi ko at napa facepalm.

"Kaya nga you better think about it."

"I will just give me time. I'll get back to you tomorrow."

"Alright, then."

Tumayo naman ako sa kinauupuan ko and grabbed my things.

"Mag ingat ka pag uwi." Sabi nya ng di ako nililingon.

"Yeah yeah. I'll see you tomorrow...

Yep! You read that right. He is my dad and we own this company. Nag tataka ba kayo kung bakit ako nag ttrabaho at may mission na sinasabe yung tatay ko? Well, lemme tell you about my family and I..

LATER. Because for now, I need to go home and rest dahil pagod na pagod ako.

Sumakay ako ng kotse at pinatakbo ito. I plugged my phone sa audio system para mag patugtog ng music but bigla itong huminto, pag tingin ko sa screen ng phone ko, may tumatawag pala.

*Calling: Mom* I quickly answered it.

"Hey mom!" Sagot ko.

"Hi, sweetie. Where are you? I just talked to your dad and he said na nag usap na kayo about sa mission mo, have you thought of it?" I let out a sigh before answering her.

"Uhm mom, I am on my way home and I still need to think about it. I'll let you and dad know about my decision tomorrow. Is that okay?"

"Ofcourse hunny, take your time. Sabi ng daddy mo medyo malaking mission daw ang gagawin mo if ever you accepted it." Malaki? Paanong malaki naman?

I just talked to my mom about random things hanggang sa makauwi ako sa condo. Pag pasok ko, I fixed all my things, took a shower and nagbihis ng gym clothes.

"Wow. You're back." Bati sakin ni Anja (Pronounced as ANYA). She's my bestfriend.as

"Oh yes, I'm back." I answered while giving her an evil grin.

"Oh what's with the evil grin?" I just shrugged and worked out.

While working out, pinag isipan kong mabuti ang offer ng daddy. Urgh! It's so annoying. Bakit ba di ako makapag decide ng maayos? It's stressing me out! After going to the gym, I went home and rested. Bahala na bukas.
