I sighed as I slumped down on my bed. I had just sent in my audition tape for the new season of Total Drama. I had watched the show with my brother Riley, and my sister Kendall since Total Drama Island. Now I might become part of the crew of teens who will most likely get blown up or attacked or humiliated. I love that fact, since I never really do anything. All I have got is school,books,tv, and my own imagination. Ugg, that sounds really sad. Anyway, I'm sure I might get picked, maybe. I'll just have to wait I guess.

2 months later

"Hey Laney, you got a letter in the mail today. Says it's from the TD producers, do you know who they are". I heard my moms voice from my room upstairs. I sighed, I mean it's Saturday and my mom makes me wake up at 9:. Hold on gotta check my clock. 9:37 in the morning. Wait TD, huh does that mean. I gasped and ran downstairs and grabbed the letter from my moms hands." Man, you sure are excited. But you still didn't answer my question about who that is from". I opened up the letter and took out the paper, hands trembling. I read the paper out loud." Dear Laney Jupiter, we have seen your audition tape and liked what we saw. So out of the millions of tapes of lame people singing,dancing, or just being annoying, we felt that yours really stood out. So we are glad to say that you and 13 other teens will be competing for the million dollars and trying to survive the summer with harsh living arrangements and almost Inedible food. Thank you, and we will see you in 2 weeks. A chopper will come to pick you up. Good luck". "What a minute, you did what now". Man, I forgot to tell mom that I had sent a audition. Oh boy. After I explained everything to mom, Riley and Kendall came in. Imagine them as two blond haired 6 year olds whose voices are heliumized. It's a word in my dictionary." And you can read a book( somehow). But now it's time.

2 weeks later

A whirring noise was outside my window, I looked out the window to see the chopper. Finally, a whole summer away from my family. I love them, but they.drive.me.crazy! I ran down the stairs and quickly ran back up them. Almost forgot my bag, and to turn off my TV. Now, I ran down the stairs and quickly gave my family hugs and ran out the door. I breathed in the clean air of relive and satisfaction. The chopper landed on my front yard, and the neighbors came out their homes and watched with confused faces. I climbed into the chopper and sat on the seats." Hello, welcome to the Chris express of hotness, might want to buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride". I leaned in to see the pilot." I should of known". Chef and Chris were looking at me with grins on there faces. The chopper got up quickly and was so jerky I couldn't get my belt into the buckle. We arrived at a dock were a big yacht was parked holding my 13 competitors." Hope you can swim" laughed Chris." Huh" I was pushed out of the chopper and was falling face first into the water. I got a glimpse of a bar on the side of the ship. I splashed into the water, the coldness shocking my body. I swam up and gasped for air, slowly swimming towards the ship. I grabbed the pole and shimmed up. I got on the yacht , cold,wet, and shivering." Looks like someone didn't swim back in time to not get a jellyfish on their back" said a boy with orange hair and a white tank top. "Huh". I looked on my back and saw a little purple jellyfish on my back . I went to grab it, when It shocked my whole body." Let me get that" a girl behind me grabbed the jellyfish and threw it in the water." Thanks" I said to the girl. I got a clear view of the girl. She had red pigtails with a flower and a red dress/shirt on." The names Zoey, what is yours?" " um, Laneys the name"." Nice to meet you Laney". She smiled and walked to the edge of the yacht, looking into the sea." Hey, want to be friends" I asked Zoey. She looked kinda lonely, so I was trying to be nice. She smiled and said " sure". We shook hands and laughed." Woah, look at that dolphin" a boy came running past me and looked over the rail." Yeah, it's pretty nice looking" I said to the boy. He looked at me, and saw his face. He had black, spiky hair and a blue t-shirt." I know right, it's so free looking"." Sorry, forgot to introduce myself, the name is Mike". " Laney". "Wow, Mike is a nice name". Zoey came up and introduced herself. Wow, such nice people. I should probably go and introduce myself to the other contestants. But before I could I saw the island in front of me.
