The wind gently blew, sifting the abundant amount of grass and flowers on the small island. A small house on top of a hill creaked as the wind pushed against it, creating an odd but soothing sound. A young, peach skinned, girl wearing a large hat, robes, and braided hair is sitting on the edge of the island with only the endless abyss, know as the sky, below her. The girl watched as the calm wind was split in half by the awe inspiring towers far in the distance. The calming wind quickly grew into a ferocious roar and took the large hat right off the girls head. The girl tried to chase the hat but the hat flew too high and too fast until it flew off the otherside of the island, almost causing the girl to fall off the island before catching herself.

The young girl sighed, as the hat waved away, and marched back towards the small house on top the hill. As the girl grabbed the door knob she noticed something slither out of sight. It was quick and scaly, the girl never saw anything like it before. She wondered how a new creature without wings could have gotten to this island? Was it a friendly creature? She wanted to answer these questions so she followed it to the back of the house, where it was nowhere to be seen, but there was the girls grandmother tending to the garden. The grandmother was watering the flowers and herbs, and picking the different fruits and vegetables, presumably for there dinner tonight. The plants where not affected by the gust standing tall in even the strongest wind. As the young girl entered the garden all the wind stopped, the grandmother noticed her granddaughter entered the garden and turned to her.

"Hey Grandmom, why don't you use your magic to help you take care of your garden?" the young girl asked.

The grandmom gave a stern sighed and her mouth started to turn into a frown "We've been over this, Anmi." she let another sigh escape her lungs "Using magic to manipulate nature can harm not just the plants, but also corrupt the soil around it."

"But what about the barrier surrounding the garden? Aren't you using magic on nature right now?" Anmi pointed out.

"No little one. I set this barrier to protect them from the harmful wind, that is too common up here for them to survive, without this barrier the wind will destroy these plants in seconds. The barrier isn't manipulating the plants at all, but rather it surrounds them and protects them. Do you understand now?" The grandmom explained.

"Yes ma'am." Anmi will remember this.

"What happened to your hat, little one?" The Grandmom pointed out, patting Anmi's head.

Anmi's face turned to a pout "I'm sorry, the wind took it. Can you bring it back again?"

The grandmom shook her head "Not this time. Help me finish picking crops and we'll see if you can do it yourself." then they both smiled

Anmi and her grandmom spent the morning picking at the plants and caring for them, by the time they finished the sun was already about to set. They set there baskets of food next to the front door of the small house, and set out to the small field in front of the house that's polluted with several different flowers that all glisten in the setting sun. The two stand in the center of the shining field and face each other, the wind still howling, blowing there hair with it.

"Ok lets get your hat back, little one, now close your eyes." They both shut their eyes "Imagine your hat, floating with the wind sailing on it like a ship. Think of the sky below it, the clouds shimmering with an orange and pink tint from the setting sun. Now, reach out and grab it. Grab it with all of your strength and pull it towards you. Open your eyes." Their eyes open simultaneously. As Anmi starts to looks down her mouth turns into a smile, only to see that there is no hat in her hands. Anmi's smile quickly turned to a frown.

"Why can't I can't I do magic like you Grandmom? You can do anything but I'm just useless." tears start to roll down Anmi's cheeks.

Anmi's grandmom kneeled down and hugged Anmi "Hush now, little one. I'm not as powerful as you may think, in fact I can sense a power spirit within you. Your magic will come to you, you just have to keep practicing to unlock your potential." she wiped the tears away from Anmi's cheeks.
