Chapter 2

Beau's POV

I was suddenly pulled out of dreamworld by mom shaking me violently.I must have fell asleep during the ride.I looked out the window and saw gran standing by the doorway with a smile I grinned and threw the door open rushing into her open arms.I hugged her and kissed her cheek.

"Hello my little grandbaby "she smiled with her eyes full of glee.

"Hi gran."I smiled.

"Hi mom!"mom said walking up to us.

That was my queue to go fetch my bags.I hurried to the car and took my phone before getting  my suitcase and bag of shoes.I'm going to be here for a while so I packed a lot of stuff.

When I got to them mom was just telling gran the rules I'm expected to follow.Mom had already told me some rules such as:Curfew at 11 and not a minute later,Respect all the time,Call at least every two days.

She reminded me the rules once more before she pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead and said she loves me I told her back and watched as she drove off.

Gran and I walked in and she told me my cousin Kaylie is also here.I haven't seen her in like forever so I'm not sure if I'll like her or not.

She used to be a snobby,spoiled kid so I guess I'll find out if she changed or not later.

Gran showed me my room and I liked it immediately.It had pale purple walls and a double bed in the middle of the room against the wall,there was a door leading to a bathroom and another leading to a wardrobe.The bathroom had pale yellow walls,a shower,a bathtub and sink with cabinets underneath and in the cabinet were bath soaps and towels.

I thanked gran and we went to eat in the kitchen.Lucky me she had just baked a jelly pie.

"What made you come down here Beauty?"she asked curiously.

"I-I" I stopped and thought for a moment.What am I really looking for here?I guess I'm  looking for a fresh start before my junior year."I'm looking for a fresh start before my junior year."I explained quietly.

"Why do you want this change?"she inquired.

"I don't want to be a goody two shoes anymore"I sighed looking up from my plate of pie."People don't even look in my direction because I'm such a nobody.No one likes a goody two shoes,gran.I only have 1 friend.I want to make more friends and just let loose a bit.Next year I want to be somebody"I explained feeling kind of blue.

"But you're going to go back home and will have to make other friends there so why waste time here?"she asked.

Truth is I didn't want to go back to that school and plus Andrew is moving here in a week.I want to stay with him."Gran do you think I can come stay here with you and Kaylie?"

"Of course you can bunny"she replied with a grin."I'd  love to have you here, you just have to talk to your mom."

I smiled at her and we continued to eat in silence.I didn't want to go back because I had nothing left for me at Bridgewater High.Andrew is coming here and I just want to be with him.

Gran and I were playing monopoly when Kaylie walked in throughout the front door.We both turned around to see her taking off her sneakers.She stood upright then she saw me.

"Ohhhhh finally another teenager in this retirement home!"she squealed running to me."OMG I could barely recognize you Beau! You grew up soon much"

"Hi Kaylie you look so different as well"I sputtered as she squeezed me in a hug.

"I haven't seen you in forever!I missed you"

I won't lie I also did kinda miss her."I missed you too"I giggled "Why do you smell like cakes and cream and sweet stuff?" I inquired after taking a wiff off her.That's not wierd by the way.

"I work at the local bakery.Oh hi Nona."she waved at gran.She always called her nona ,even when we were younger.

I guess she isn't bossy anymore.

"Come on let's  go braid each other's  hair and catch up.I'll help you unpack."she said.dragging me upstairs.
