"Please take your seats, students, and begin studying for your first test of the semester. Dulce, please meet me in the hallway."
Ms. Dion, my Calculus teacher spoke, looking at me softly as the class sharply laid their eyes on me. Whatever. I gripped my chair and forced myself up. This belly ain't no joke. A girl, whose name I was unaware of, helped me with my journey up. That was nice of her I guess. Or maybe she should just mind her damn business. I walked out of the classroom door to see Ms. Dion smiling gingerly.
"How are you feeling, child?"
Ms. Dion asked. She was in her late 60's but looked about 45. Her grey hair were swept up into a thick bun, and her eyelashes stood out, even behind the frames of her chunky rectangular glasses. Her brown skin was glowing, even in the winter.
"I'm fine, Ms. Dion. Just a little tired likw everyone else in here."
I returned the sincere smile she gave me. She looked at me for a bit before speaking.
"I've been talking with the rest of the senior educators who have you as a student. We've all taken into consideration your situation, and was wondering if online schooling would be the best alternative for you. What do you think, dear?"
She finished, adjusting her glasses. I knew something like this would happen. I was just wondering gow long they were going to take and who they were going to make suffer by telling me. I sighed, and rubbed my belly with one hand.
"Look, Ms. Dion, I love you and no disrespect, but I couldn't care less what your staff development team or WHOEVER, thinks about my damn child. I'm here for an education and that's exactly what I'm going to get, in a SCHOOL. I'm pregnant, not a freaking brainless, irresponsible whore!"
I loudly whispered, causing the baby to get as riled up as I was.
"I completely understand that, Dulce. And I respect you and your decisions."
She put a hand on my shoulder as of to surrender the topic altogether. I had won this battle.
"Now, can I go ace your test, Ms. Dion?"
I smiled at her slightly, just so she wouldn't take my emotions to heart. She nodded and we walked back inside the classroom.March 26th
"Take me to the Smoothie King down the road, Stoke!"
I yelled as Ski laughed at me. He thinks shit is so fucking funny, but when he gets punched in the throat shit won't be so sweet.
"I'm hungry, stop!"
I began crying now. I do not play about my food. He stopped laughing and looked at me scared of the next emotion.
"Okay, okay, chill babe, I'll take you, just stop crying, please."
He pleaded. I wiped my tears, nd smiled.
"Perfect."
I laughed and turned up the radio, leaving him speechless and confused. I felt his gaze on me. He reached to turn down the radio.
"Dulce, I need to talk to you. It's really serious, so I want to wait until you have something in your stomach, okay?"
He said, scratching his fresh beard. I squinted at him, and he kept a straight face with me. Oh, he's serious serious.
We got to Smoothie King, and I no longer had any extreme appetite, so I ordered a banana strawberry smoothie. We sat in the store as I sipped on my drink, and he abruptly walked out, as if he were upset and attempting to leave me. I sat, unbothered, drinking my smoothie, realizing that I could actually go for some lobster and potatoes right about now. He walked back in to the shop, walking towards the cashier, but before I could make a fuss about him being annoying and stupid, my stomach began hurting, so I massaged it, trying to ease the pain a bit. I closed my eyes, taking deep breathes, and by the time I opened them, I saw Ski on one knee with a box in his hand. My eyes instantly began to water.
"Dulce; the sweetest, most trustworthy woman I've ever encountered in my life. You're literally the definition of youe name. I know I'm not an expert at being the best gentleman in the world, or even a good man at that, but one thing that I am certain that I succeed at, is loving you. I can't wait for our child to be born, and for us both to be loving parents. With that being said, will you marry me, beautiful?"
He opened the box to reveal the humbling beautiful ring inside. I stood up, and screamed.
"Yes, Ski, yes, a million times yes, yes, yes, baby!"
I shouted, as applause erupted around us, drowning out the sound of water splashing the floor and my groans from the sharp pains in my abdomen. He placed the ring on my finger, and instantly noticed the wet spot surrounding his knee, and rushed up.
"Let's go, baby. It's time!"
He stood up and smiled at me goofily. I wanted to smile at his character, but I felt like punching his neck because of the level of pain I was in. He ran towards the cashier and grabbed his phone, and assisted me to the passenger side of the car. I can't believe that this is actually happening. I want this shit out now!I know I've been missing for the longest, but I'm back now!
