Dear Eun-hee,
I'm so happy to hear that you've gotten a promotion to manager. I know you work really hard and deserve the attention from the company.
Good news. I found out the exact day I will be discharged from the army. I would tell you, but I want to surprise you. So try not to expect it too much. ;) Though I'll be happy to be with you again, I do feel a bit sad leaving. I feel like I'm finally starting to get the hang of it now. Oh well. Seeing you and starting up BTS again is more important anyways.
Have you had any contact with any of the other guys? I try to write to Namjoon and Yoongi regularly and see the others when we have overlapping leave or breaks, but this month has been sparse in communication. I know that both Jimin and Jungkook were promoted last month and that Seokjin and Hoseok are doing well in the ranks they were given a few months ago, but Namjoon and Yoongi must be so busy that they can't write back often.
I miss you. I'm glad we were able to have a few days together last month, but it made it harder to be apart. Every time I see your name on a letter, my heart starts beating really fast and I can't help but smile. My squadmates tease me about being lovestruck and whipped...but I'll bet they're just jealous they don't have someone like you waiting for them to get back. I'm lucky to have you, beautiful.
Gotta run; our morning formation starts soon and since I'm assistant to the captain, I have to be there before the other soldiers.
I love you. <3

"Yes, I understand. I'll put my best worker on the assignment." I spoke into my phone while simultaneously proofreading a document on my computer screen. "Next Thursday at 4? I'll be there. Thank you, sir. Goodbye." I placed the phone back in it's cradle and placed my full attention on the transcript in front of me. Though my translators were good, sometimes they missed little things that I needed to check over before submission.
My phone ringing drew me out of my concentration. Sighing, I picked it up and put it to my ear. "Hello?"
"Manager-nim, there's someone here to see you. I'll send them up if that's okay," my assistant said.
"Sure. Who is it?" I asked, but the line clicked off after my question.
Whatever, I thought. I turned my attention back to the document, hoping to get a few more edits in before my unknown guest turned up. Within the next minute, I was completely engrossed in my work.
"Happy Birthday, Eun!" I looked up to see Min-yeo standing in front of my desk, a huge smile on her face.
I returned the smile and stood to give her a hug. "Thanks, Min-yeo." I sighed. "I want to to do something but I've been so swamped with work that I haven't been able to plan anything."
My friend chuckled. "No worries. I've taken care of everything. Meet me at our favorite karaoke place tonight at 6. And dress like you're going clubbing." Min-yeo waggled her eyebrows mischievously. "Birthdays are for letting loose and feeling hot."
I laughed, but felt grateful for my friend. I couldn't wait to finish work and celebrate.

At 6 PM sharp, I walked to the karaoke shop Min and I frequented. My heels clacked against the sidewalk, the frigid breeze penetrating my black tights. I pulled my black coat tighter around me in an attempt to stay warm.
