Dean's Pov.
I couldn't sit in that room any longer, I had to get out. Had to deal with things alone. She flinched. She flinched at my touch. I ran my fingers roughly through my hair, over and over and over. I almost let the frustrated shout leave my chest, but I decided it was best to not wake up the entire motel.
I considered taking myself on a relaxing trip to Hawaii for a few hours, but decided against that too. I finally let myself slide down against the brick wall of the motel. I wanted to punch something, kill something. No, not something. Crowley. I would kill Crowley. I was about to pop back into our room to start the look for him when Cas appeared in front of me, sitting criss/cross on the sidewalk.
"Hello Dean." He said, there was concern in his deep blue eyes.

Maybe it was just for now, maybe tomorrow, when she woke up, we'd be back to normal. Finally I nodded, pulling Cas to move and sit beside me.
"We'll get through this. I mean, we've stopped the damned apocalypse more than once, we should be able to handle our teenage daughter." Cas smiled at me. We both laughed, I felt his breath fan my face, our faces were only inches apart. He'd said that exact thing many times, it was our favorite joke to tell in stressful situations.
Even in the low light his blue eyes sparkled.
"I love you Cas." I murmured.
"I love you too, Dean." He replied. Slowly, I closed the gap between us. A small, content sigh escaped my chest when our lips met, and for a single moment, I truly believed that everything would be alright...
