My life has been wonderful lately. Opie and I been together for ten months now and we're great, I even have his crow on the back of my neck. We talked about getting married and having three more kids, we even talked about them moving in with Ryder and I since my house is bigger. When he's not doing club business or working he's with me. Him and the kids spend the night often at my house and the kids stay with me when Opie's on a run. I even drop them off and pick them up from school. We even went on a little family vacation to the beach when school was over for the summer. The new school year started three months ago and Ryder is six and in the first grade, Ellie is seven and in second grade and Kenny is eight and in third grade. We spend every birthday and holiday together. Opie even became a father figure to Ryder. Ryder loves having Opie, Kenny and Ellie around.
The kids are at school right now and Opie is at work and I'm cleaning up the mess from breakfast. While cleaning up I hear the door open, looking up I see Opie walking in so I say "hey I thought you had work" he sighs and says "we need to talk" and sits at the table, saying "ok" I walk to the table and sit across from him. I look at him waiting for him to speak. Sighing he says "we can't be together anymore" and I'm shocked we were great, sure we argue but we always make up after. Looking at him in the eyes I say "why, did I do something wrong" and he says "no, you did nothing wrong. the kids mom is back and she wants to make our family work so for the sake of the kids, I will try." and I became even more shocked and say "you mean them woman who abandoned them. really Harry! she will only hurt them more when she leaves again." and he says "you don't know that. she said she changed. so I'm giving her a chance" and I say "so you throw me aside for her. I'm the who brings them to and from school. I'm the one who watches them when you have work or club business. I'm the one who helps them with their homework. I love your kids like my own, I would do anything for them. why are you doing this". Standing up he says "I don't need you to bring them to school or pick them up from school anymore. I don't need you to watch them anymore. I'm sorry but what we have is done. I have to give it a chance" and he starts walking to the door. Getting up I follow him and say "don't come running back WHEN she leaves again.", he looks at me then opens the door and leaves. I walk up to the door and lock it then I walk to the couch were I begin to cry.
~ Opie's POV ~
Pulling away from Haddy's house for the last time was one of the hardest thing I ever had to do. The look on her face when she told me don't come running when she leaves again, broke my heart. I didn't want to break up with her but the kids deserve a chance to have their real mom in their life. I just hope I made the right decision and won't live to regret it.
