It was a week after I had introduced Jason to Quinn and Kennedy and, I don't know why, but those two haven't been too enthusiastic about him. Me and Jason continued our daily routine of walking together from and to school everyday, but occasionally, he wouldn't show up because he apparently had some "business" to attend to. I didn't know what it was, but I tried not to be a clingy and nosey girlfriend, so I didn't ask. Perhaps he just needed some time alone.

Speaking of which, today was one of those days where Jason couldn't accompany me to my journey to school. It had only been a week but I had already developed a habit for relying on Jason as my wake up call, but since he didn't call me today, I had set an alarm for myself instead. Which ended up backfiring, because I had pressed on the snooze button approximately seven times. I know, very specific.

So that would explain why I was currently running down the stairs at full speed, still managing to pick up my biscuit somehow and raced out the door. I kept running all the way to the school gates, which I manage to squeeze through before it shut. I scrambled to my lockers, tossing books and folders in and out and got my things for first period. I quickly closed my locker and turned around to run to class, but instead bumped into someone that I had no idea was there.

All I remembered seeing was a pink figure.

My books fell to the floor, scattering all over the ceramic flooring of the hallway, with notes spilling out in all directions. Without even looking who I had bumped into, I apologised, grabbed my books and left. I entered the class, a few seconds before my teacher came in and took my seat while Kennedy and Quinn gave me a thumbs up.

It was now lunch and I was sitting next to Quinn and Kennedy at our usual table. Usually, Jason would take the seat next to me, but today he was nowhere to be seen.

I continued lunch, chatting with Kennedy and Quinn when I noticed a certain someone staring at me. I turned to look, and it was no other than Nicole Brooks, seated on the table next to us.

Nicole Brooks.

Long story short, Nicole was your typical queen bee, most popular girl of the school. Stereotypical, I know but Nicole was Nicole. Also known as the: "Man Stealer" I knew she was the only one I should make sure Jason should stay away from.

As if she had read my mind, she leaned back from her seat, revealing a figure that I know very well sitting next to her.

Jason.

My mouth widened and I sat there frozen.

I blinked.

And he was gone.

"Bella?" called Quinn, waving her hands in front of me face.

"Hello?" said Kennedy, "earth to Bella?"

I blinked multiple times, to see Jason reappearing again and again. I turned to the girls, dazed from what I had saw.

"Are you okay?" they asked.

"It's nothing," I lied, "I'm just a bit tired."

I looked back to Nicole's table and I could have sworn she was smirking at me.
