Forty Two

As a kid you never were the most Energetic kid , sure you liked to play around had a few friends but never the one who would go out of her way to invite her friends for a sleepover or even go to one herself.

Daniel on the other had seemed like he lived in his own world most of the time and you would always wonder what was going inside his mind when he would stay for hours just laying on his bed looking at the ceiling . His room wasn't like a red line or anything but it never felt right to come in since it scared you sometimes.

As you grew up you somewhat managed to push that fear away so by the age of 8 years old you didn't have much trouble slamming his door open while him a 14 year old stayed laying down on his bed listening to rock music. Boy was he in an emo kid back then .

Fast forward to 10 years later when he was 24 and you 18 . He had just gotten out of prison after 5 years of being locked in there .

You knew he had gotten out because you were the one who had picked him up and he hated it for many reasons.

First being that you didn't come alone but with a punk pretty boy you called a boyfriend, he didn't like that one bit . And second was the fact that he just felt humiliated and ashamed .

No words were shared threw the way coming back . He had his head down all the way with closed eyes .

You couldn't just drop him in some hotel to stay in so you had no choice but let him stay in your house, even tho you really still weren't a fan of each other until he finds a job and be able to rent himself an apartment or something at least .

But that was the problem he had no degree to able with or a clean record to start with so it lead him to start taking night school , it felt like forever for him after that he applied for a designing school and surprisingly enough he got accepted he even moved out to campus leaving you alone again.

You didn't hear from him since until one day you were doing some shopping when you noticed a familiar set of messy hair inside a shop with grumpy looking eyes . Definitely him .

You and him didn't keep in contact much only maybe randomly seeing each on the street and acting like strangers towards each other and walking away .

Daniel hated how things turned out but again he didn't want to push himself inside your personal life , he did enough already. So who would believe him when he says after all of that he's in the present time now sitting on your couch with a pizza slice in his right hand watching a horror movie with your ex boyfriend with current boyfriend and male best friend . Of course not to forget the kid that fell asleep after the sugar rush he had earlier with small puppy beside him .

Yeah normal...right ?.

" I swear how could they still be living in there I have moved out if a glass moved " Nathan commented while siping from his beer bottle sitting on the floor next to Andy who was very much struggling to stay awake after a long day of work .

" nah they just need a sacrifice if it was us I would have thrown you first " Daniel laughed at his own joke taking a bite from the cold now pizza in his hand " me I'm bones you're all meat they'll LOOOOVE YOU " Nathan snapped back eyeing the man sitting behind him .

Toshinori on the other hand watched their tiny argument with amusement wondering if They had some kind of past together other then you . Since the insults came personal at times .

" hey toshi " the blonde blinked feeling someone tug at his pants from beneath.
It was Andy his eyes were almost red from tiredness and probably because Nathan forced him to drink some alcohol. Andy doesn't drink in general to stay in good shape .

" y-yes ?" Andy rested his hand on Toshinori leg as he pulled himself up from the ground " can you show me where the tea bags are ?" Toshinori nodded slightly getting up as well and walking along side Andy to the kitchen .

As Toshinori got the tea bags out the cabinet Andy had the water ready to boil " it relaxes my nerves you know better then coffee since it just gives me more of a headache and the fact that I have insomnia " the older man eyes widen at the fact Remembering his prime days where he suffered from it as well to the point where he was fighting crime day and night non stop just because his brain wouldn't seem to adjust to something called sleep.

" I can relate to that " he dryly chuckled pulling out two cups and throwing one tea bag in each with some sugar " if I may ask but I was wondering something about Nathan " Andy's focus went from the boiling water to him with raised eyebrows " sure what's up" Toshinori almost beamed at the chance he was given.

" did something happen in the past that made him dislike Dan on a personal level and I can notice he's not found if you as well " Andy hummed before he sigh turning around to bore the boiling water in the cups .

" Nathan he...is a good guy I will admit but he doesn't take shit from anybody so for Daniel it's the fact that his personality is build up on the factor that he's bigger and stronger then him making Nathan seem like a small bug so it affects his pride as a man . For me though I'm just blunt i didn't like him when we first met and I told him so yeah..." Toshinori held his own cup between his hands feeling the warm drink warm up his skin " I see that makes sense I suppose ".

The two stay in comfort silence after which was pretty nice .

" who could believe that gorilla of a man is getting married in a few days and to a cute girl too " Andy put his empty cup in the sink almost shiver when the cold water hit his warm hands " i think it is a nice step in life...having a family " Toshinori didn't want to sound like he desired it to it make it about himself.

Definitely not about himself.

" what about you , I mean we all know you're a hero by this point how was it like dating and being the number one hero ?" Andy leaned on the counter behind him facing Toshinori who was still drinking slowly from his cup " well it's almost non existent because that would mean they would be put in a position of extreme danger and possible kidnaping....or worse killing I can't afford that " it wasn't like he wasn't worried about you he really was but it seemed ok here just because there wasn't such things as villains in this universe and no one knew him .

" I see...that's understandable. " Andy didn't push with the questions deciding to leave it for a better time then this and since he was about to pass out if he found something soft to lay on .

Toshinori smiled weakly at the tired man before him before his head wandered off to you . He hoped you were enjoying your time with the girls at Missy's sleepover .

Melissa...funny how the people who had this name always seemed to be energetic .

Maybe i should contact David when I  come back . He thought.
