Banners and streamers are hung all along the town signifying the return of the two gods, also known as the cities lords are making there return to the beloved land. They have been gone for almost 5 months and the villagers are happy to welcome them back. Bella being the heir to the kingdom was to stand in for her parents but would rather of went on patrol for the guard then sit on her throne.
"If you're here at least make yourself useful." Dante spats at the crew before he finally disappears into the chaos on the streets.
"At least make yourself useful' useful doing what?" Bella mocks back.
Max lets out a deep chuckle in response to the girls words. "Why don't we go see about actually stitching up that ear, Ya? Then we will get to work setting up for the celebration." He replies to her as Wind agrees to this idea.
"Honestly I'm fine it's just a scratch." Bella argues back.
Max quickly grabs her arm and leads her to the castle, to which they head straight to the infirmary.
"Sit." Max commands.
Bella raises an eyebrow to the werewolf and hesitantly does as he says. She also releases the ice that had been keeping the wound from bleeding. Max lets out a sigh as he watches crimson blood flow to the top of the wound as he mutters something about 'it's only a scratch.'
~Le smol time skip~
After quickly stitching the 'scratch' in her ear the couple heads back outside looking for their friends. While searching Bella takes a good look at the town. Banners hand from building along with streamers. Stands of food, and juice and alcohol lined the streets. People were dressed for the event.
"Bell you okay?" Max asks as he stares at her.
She didn't realize that she had stopped moving and stared at the town, ears slightly pulled back. "No, everything is fine, I'm just happy that they are finally coming home. I hate managing the city." She replies.
Finally making there way to the beach the couple finally spots the group of friends, who were setting up more banner, some torches and of course more food. Koda looks over seeing the two and waves. Max waves back as Bella just smiles. Max walks over to Koda to help him light a torch, as Bella continues towards the water. She looks out and sighs, as Wind comes up and throws her arm around her sister. "You ready for tonight? I heard Katie made you a dress for, just your style."
Bella cringes slightly, "Wind no dress is 'just my style' you know I hate them with a passion, there is no way to hide a weapon while wearing them."
"Well if the dress doesn't get you, then the crown surely will." Wind says
Bella cringes and shakes her head while sighing, once again. "I just can't wait for them to get back, so they can wear the crown and I can get back into actually doing the job I'm meant to. You know Dante hasn't let me do any field work since they left."
Now its Winds turn to sigh, "You work so much this was a good bre-"
"Break, ya as if being in charge of a whole kingdom is more of a break then patrolling town" Bella spats as she rolls her eyes.
A slightly awkward silence sweeps across the twins. Bella stares out across the water as the breeze blows her hair and ears around. Wind gives Bella a pat on the shoulder before turning and walking away. Bella sighs once more before she decides that she might as well start getting ready for the ceremony. She turns and slips away to the castle unnoticed and head to her room.
The walls were a light, almost white, blue color with few photos of her and her family hung around. Her bed in unkept and clothes litter the floor. Her office door is open and papers are all over her desk with what seems to be another new stack of forms to fill out.
Bella begins to walk around and pick up the clothing before she goes and puts them in her hamper, she makes her bed and walk over to her office to check on the new work she has. In the office hangs a board with pictures and documents tacked to it. Strings connect things together and in the center are two feathers. One a navy blue and the other a blinding white, pulled right from her own wings. Bella believes there is another reason for her wings being the color they are other then reasons given to her, so she does her own research in her own time.
Shaking her head she looks down at the papers and flips through them. Determining that there is nothing of importance that needs to be done immediately, she walks out of the office and closes the door.
Knock, knock, knock
"Coming" Bella calls
Opening the door the girl finds a smiling girl who is holding, what looks to be, the new dress wind was talking about. It was a brilliant white that fade to a blue.(Picture above). 'like my wings' Bella thought as she lets Katie in.
"isn't it pretty, I thought the colors would really suite you seeing as how you have a infatuation with your wing!" she says excitedly.
"I don't have an infatuation, I'm just curious." Bella declares. Katie just laughs and urges the girl to try on the dress to see if it is a proper fit for the upcoming event. With that Bella takes the dress and heads towards her bathroom to try it on.
