*Deku's POV

Flashback to before everyone visited Midoriya

I woke up with some shaking my shoulder. I grumbled as I opened my eyes to see All Might with a tray of food in his hands. I slowly sat up saying good morning to him. He placed the food down in my lap as he pulled up a chair. I ate my food in silence as he sat there with his hands clasped together looking down at the floor. I took my last bite off scrambled eggs and jello and quickly chugged my glass of water.

"Midoriya I-" All Might began to say but I cut him off

"I am very sorry for what I said to you yesterday," I said as I cringed as I relived what I said to him 'It was curled and unnecessary and untrue." He froze for a moment but ended up standing up and walking over to a small window in the room.

"Don't be sorry everything you said was true?" He said trying to convince himself that he could have done more

"That's not true," I said as I threw the covers off of me and tried to stand up. As I put my full weight on my legs they collapsed and I fell to the ground. All Might rushed over and picked me up placing me in a chair that he then pushed over to the window. I sat there staring at the bright blue sky with clouds blowing by on a gentle breeze.

"It's been so long," I said out loud

"Since what," All Might asked

"I saw the sky," I said closing my eyes letting the warmth of the sun wash my face.

"Midoiriya I am very sorry about your mother," He said looking down at the floor clenching her fist "I know this must hurt but I need to tell you this. I had to take custody of you since your father has been missing for a long time now" He explained to me

"Oh' Was all I was able to process and say. He placed his hand on my head and walked out of the room informing me that my classmates will be here soon. He helped me back into bed and I thanked him as he left.

Flashback end

"I am so happy to see you," Todoroki said before he left my room leaving me alone once again. I lied down tired from all of the excitement seeing my classmates brought me and keeping up that fake smile

'damn it hurts' I said as I curled up in a ball trying to go back to sleep. Sleep ended up flowing over me, but the winds brought nightmares along with them. I saw my mothers death yet again, but her death was followed by All Mighty, Then Kachan, Then Ururaka. Each time I reached out to save them but was always a little bit short. I was awoken from my nightmare by Iida shaking me awake.

"Morning," He said

"Good morning," I said rubbing my eyes and yawning

"Sleep well?" He asked.

"Yes," I lied trying to hide the obvious bags under my eyes. "What's up," I asked him. He reached down to the floor grabbing a pile of notes.

"I was going to help you study, that is if you are feeling up to it," He said

'He thinks I am weak now to' I thought in disappointment

"uh not right now but can you leave them here in case I want to look over it later," I said trying to prove that I still had what it takes

"Sure no problem," He said as he stood up to walk out of the room. He froze in the doorway from a moment.

"Midoriya do you still plan on becoming a hero?" he asked. I was shocked by his question. One would think that with all the determination I had four months ago that I would not hesitate to say yes, but now I am a little shaky

"I don't know," I said to him. He nodded his head as he left me. Why do I question my self now on whether or not I wanted to be a hero? All of the times everyone made fun of me came crashing through my head

'How can a quirkless person like you be a hero'

'Yeah you'll just get in our way'

'Why do you even bother applying to UA'

'Take a swan dive off the roof'

I clutched the sides of my head trying to silence the voices but they wouldn't stop. It hurt, they began to yell at me. My ears began to ring and I felt my self-struggling to get air. I was hyperventilating. I grabbed my hair pulling on it trying to ease the pain, but handful after handful of green tufts of hair came out.

"Stop it, Stop it, Stop it" I whispered to myself. Little did I know someone else was there with me, watching me. I felt myself get pulled into a hug. The voices slowly subsided as I heard them whisper in my ear.

"It's alright now," They said "Everything will be alright" The voices stopped and I slowly lowered my hands and opened my eyes. I was expecting to see All Might being the one to try and comfort me, but I saw the blue school hero uniform and white hair in my face.

"It's all right Midoriya," Todoroki said to me. I didn't bother to put a facade up. I knew he wouldn't tell anyone. I grabbed him and pulled him inclosed as I sobbed into his shoulder. As I cried into his shoulder thinking about why I continue.

'I need to become a hero' I thought 'So I can show them how wrong they were. I am Izuku Midoriya. I am Deku'
