Part 3: The arrival (Written by Midnight-spyro)

Duncan's POV

I sighed as my phone went again, I knew before I even turned the screen on who it would be, yep. Lewis he was asking about fifty questions at once and I couldn't be bothered to answer most of if not all of them. I replied:

Just get here in half an hourish, bring yourself and Hannah and I want you to kiss her dammit it's cute (*cough cough* I ship Xephmadia too much *cough cough*) see you then.

Leaving my phone I went to the fridge and took out the most importent thing. Booze. With a chuckle I placed some  Wine, Whiskey, Larger, beer and of course cider on the side. Just then the doorbell rang. 'Must be the pizza man' I thought and grabbed my wallet as I went to open the door. So I was rather surprised when Rythian showed up at my door.

"Oh! Rythian! I thought you were the pizza!" I exclaimed. Rythian chucked

"Sorry there buddy, I didn't mean to disappoint you, but I have nothing to do so I've arrived early, that's ok right?" I smiled "yeah sure come in. " and I stepped back to allow Rythian in to the flat. My flat isn't much in itself but it's home, has a nice bed, Internet and TV and a suprisingly large Lounge for friends or myself to sit and relax or chat and have a drink. Rythian wonderd into the room and sat down on the sofa and stared at the Christmas tree in the corner. It wasn't much, but I didn't exactly have enough.

"Would you like a drink?" I asked walking over to the kitchen and opening the fridge.

"Just water, I'm early as it and I will almost certainly get wasted at yours." and I chuckled "Alright" water it is then." and I poured a glass for him with hesitation, I did the same and I returned to Rythian handing him the glass and sitting down. For a little while, we sat in silence before I broke it.

"Any reason why you're here early?" I asked swirling the water around the glass.

"Nah, I just had nothing to do to kill 30 minutes, so I kinda wanderd over here." He answerd downing his glass. He suddenly  froze breifly.

"You alright? brain freeze grom the water?" I mused and Rythian gave me a look which made me laugh. "I just had a moment when I realised it's 7. by the way who else is coming?" I smirked.

"Everyone really, besides a couple, Will and Ridge have got work and Kayei's ill again so Martyn told me he's staying behind to keep an eye on her." I saw Rythian swallow as he placed his glass on the table and he looked up looking a bit nervious.

"What about Sjin?" he asked and my face told him everything and he made a growling noise in the back of his throat. "Why is HE invited?" Rythian sneered and I sighed

" Look Ryth, I know you hate him and vise versa, but see it from my pov, me and Sjin are mates and It would'nt be fair to invite everyone but him because he doesn't get along with one person, plus I invited Sips and thoose two are like salt and pepper it just wouldn't feel right to have one and not the other." Rythian looked away.

"Yeah I guess....." Then the doorbell rang.

I raised my eyebrows at Rythian and went over to the door. When I opened it, I was greeted by Lewis, Hannah and...Sjin as I entered with the trio in tow, Rythian took one look at Sjin and walked in to the kitchen without a word. As Lewis and Hannah went to put the many presents under my tree, I leaned in and whispered into Sjin's ear:

"Look I know you hate Rythian, but just keep out of his way and I'm sure he'll do the same." Sjin just grunted and asked were his coat goes. As I showed him wear to put said items I thought to myself "This is going to be a long eveing."
