Chapter 3 - Forest cats

Apple stood on a quiet meadow when she saw light brown tomcat. He was going to her and she started to feel better.

She started to talk before he had a chance: "Hi I am Apple, what is your name?" He just looked at her with a look that sends shivers down her spine: "What are you doing here kittypet?"

He came a lot closer and Apple just crouched more and more and said: "I-I am sorry I am lost." Brown furred tomcat sighed and quickly after heard someone yelling:

"Coppershade! Coppershade!" The tomcat (from now Coppershade) turned around and asked: "What is it Pebblepaw?! I have an intruder here!"

"Intruder? But StreamClan is attacking us! They want Goldenflower's kits!" Coppershade turned to me and quickly said: "If you won't be here when I come back you'll be dead."

With that, he ran back where he came from and Apple could just sit down and try to get everything in her head.

Timeskip 10 mins

Apple's Pov

I heard something from the distance and it didn't sound well. I just waited how Coppershade said. I looked on the ground and then it came to my mind.

Wouldn't he kill me when he'll come back? He said I am an intruder. What wild cats are doing with intruders?...

My eyes widened as I thought of that.
I sighed: "Looks like I got to the dead end." I quietly said to myself. Then I heard high-pitched sound and looked in front of me.

I saw dark gray cat with the kit in her mouth. I crouched so she won't see me. She let the kit on the ground and held it with paw.

My heart started beating faster as I heard someone yell: "No! They've got Hazelkit!" I got up just enough to see that the kit is grey tabby with hazel eyes. The gray cat said: "Off to the StreamClan."

So I took it into my paws. I crouched back and slowly, quietly moved forward. As I was just inches away from the kit one more cat came. I heard my heart beating faster and faster. I was scared that they will hear it and got my head back in the grass.

Then the cats started talking. I didn't hear what they were saying because of my stupidly loud heartbeat. They sound like flirting and got distracted.

Now is my chance! My paw slowly got forward and pushed kit quietly back to my safe grass. I picked him and started crouching back to the other side of the meadow.

"Don't you smell a kittypet?"

I froze on the place. I crouched the most as I could with kit curled from fear in my paws. I heard them talking and walking around searching for the kit or me.

And suddenly I heard someone attacked the cats and after little battle, the 'bad' cats ran away. (Sorry I am lazy)

"Oh no, that kittypet ran away." "You surprised?" Someone else said. I stood up with the kit in my mouth. And the one of the cats gasped. "Hazelkit!" I slowly put Hazelkit on the ground so the cat could take him.

"Looks like kittypets can help." Said the third cat (I am lost in them XD) and pushed in Coppershade. "Hey, I never said they can't help." I just stood there waiting what they will do.
