It was noon on a Saturday when Mahogany

touched down. I loved her boss ways. We didn't

have to pick her up from the air port because

she had arranged everything herself.

Me and my husband loved how she played

the role of a leader. She was proactive, followed

directions and didn't need to be told what to

do.

Her and I had gained a real friendship over

the last few months. We did a lot together like

best friends. Ladies nights, shopping sprees,

date nights and we even spoke on the phone

often. I couldn't wait to see my girl. Out of all

the girls on our team I have to say she was my

favorite.

She was pretty as fuck too. She had Hershey

like skin, brown eyes and a gorgeous ass smile

with those celebrity type teeth. She always kept

her hair and nails on fleek. She was one of my

favorites as far as looks go. Baby was bad!

When she knocked at the door, between Lea

and Antwan I had to be the one to greet her. I

opened the door in excitement without

hesitation. "Look at my bitch!" I said before we

hugged. "You looking better than ever glowin

and shit!" She complimented me before

admiring my looks from head to toe. It felt like

we couldn't stop hugging before Twan

interrupted. "Damn baby can daddy get some?"

He teased before she finally greeted him with a

hug.

Seems like Lea was far from enthusiastic. She

wasn't being herself lately. She had changed.

Mahogany didn't take heed to Lea's dole

attitude. "Hey Lea." She stated in a dry manor

before Lea gave her a simple wave.

Mahogany's personality was lit. She was

always fun to be around and so adventurous.

She was like a breath of fresh air. She looked at

Twan with a serious look. "So you know I'm

ready to party with y'all bae, but what did you

call me out here for?" She asked. "So T must

not have served you the good news yet. I called

you down here because she's pregnant and we

gonna need your help around here." He told

her. "What.....?!?! Bitch you really pregnant?

How far along are you? This mean you don't

get to drink with us tonight?" She joked. "I'm

almost 3 months." I said while rubbing my

stomach. "I'm so happy for you! Can I be the

God mom?!?!" She asked with excitement.

"Who else gone be the God mom?" Twan

questioned. She was rubbing my belly with a

smile. "T, you look so beautiful in your

pregnancy. I knew something was up by the

way you glowing." She said. "I'm just mad that

I'm the last one to find out." she teased.

Twan finally picked up her duffle bag that

was still laying outside the front door. "Baby

didn't I tell you to leave everything behind?

You know daddy gone make sure you straight."

He informed her. "I know babe, but that's all

my favorite stuff." She assured him. "I know

you just got here and I hate to do this, but I

gotta put you to work." He said. "Can you make

us up a good dinner? We miss your cooking."

He said in a bribe like manor. "I'd love to baby.

What am I cooking?" She asked. Antwan

looked at me. "What you want ma?" I didn't

take me long to put in my request for the

chicken enchiladas that I had been craving for

days.

We all sat at the dinner table and ate as a

family. Lea was acting very cold, quiet and

distant. She wasn't saying much or really

interacting. I gave Twan the look of needing to

talk to her. "Excuse me ladies I have to excuse

myself for a minute. Lea come upstairs and

holla at daddy real quick." He told her before

they both made an exit up the stairs. What ever

the issues she was having I hoped he would be

able to get her straight. I hated how sad she

was acting lately. I know she wasn't still upset

about having to sleep in the guess room the

other night.
