Jeno kept on noticing Jaemin glaring at Adara. He hated her, right?
He shook his head and took note of his surroundings. All of them were going to find Empusa and kill her.
Jeno noticed Haechan and how he would steal a glance at Mark. Was there something he was hiding?
Once again, he snapped out of his thoughts knowing that if he'd go further in, it would devour him.
The path to Empusa's layer was rocky and not the easiest. Chenle kept on slipping and Y/n did once as well.
Y/n was really nice to Jeno. She'd catch him staring at her, not on purpose of course, but she would always smile back.
Jeno was tense. He wanted to go home to his brother. He never mentioned it to his friends but- he wasn't the type that would either.
Abuse is one of the worst things on the planet. Yes, mental is terrible but by the time Jeno would reach his room, glass shards would be sticking out of his back, bruises would cover his hands.
He wouldn't cry. He became numb. He would only get mad. Mad when his parents tried to hurt his little brother.
His little brother he had cared for since he was born. Yes, they'd fight on the occasional, 'I want the TV remote' but they loved each other.
He was afraid to admit but his little brother was his weakness.

"When are we going to reach?" Haechan said annoyed.
"We get there when we get there," Jisung replied.
Jisung and Y/n were ahead of everyone. She would tend to slip and he would always catch her, causing her to become red and cover her face.
"Guys, come on!" Jisung said.
"So what's the plan?" Mark questioned looking at Jisung.
"We go in, we attack and we try not to die."
"Wait- that's your plan?" Adara said.
"Yeah that's my plan. You got anything better then say it," Jisung said annoyed, earning a set of remarks on his sarcastic reply.
"Listen Park Jisung, I don't care what you're fucking problem is but the least you could do is pretend to not be a prick," Adara huffed as she walked past him, followed by Mark, Jeno, Chenle and the rest.
"I swear I'm going to-"
"Jisung don't get mad. We're all tired and we all want to go home," Y/n said cutting him mid sentence.
"Y/n stop being my mom. Next time, you cut me off, you better hope I don't cut your neck off," he said angrily as he walked inside the cave, leaving Y/n shocked.
"Where is Empusa?" Mark asked Jisung.
"Does it look like I'm friends with her?" Jisung snapped causing Mark to shut up.
The cave wasn't really that deep, instead it was divided into further passage ways. The boys took the biggest one.
Renjun was looking at the walls of the passage ways, hoping something would not jump out.
Jisung had gripped his knife, in case something would attack them.
Then it hit him,
Y/n wasn't behind them anymore.
