Campfire Story

Chapter 1: (Welcome)

A pair of headlights fell upon an old cabin as night fell upon the world. Sebastian turned off the ignition and his friends slowly disembarked from the van. Gabby said with a smile,"Looks like we made it to our weekend getaway!"

Hailey adjusted her ponytail to the original position,"I don't know... a big creepy cabin in the woods, miles away from civilization? This feels kinda....spooky. Especially that I don't have cell service."

Sebastain crept up behind her, his football slung under his arm, and whispered in her ear,"Maybe it's full of g-h-o-s-t-s." Just as the words left from his lips the doorbell rang. Hailey jumped, letting out a loud gasp and Sebastian laughed. Just as he spooked Hailey, Eddie's head turned giving a cold hard glare at Sebastain, with him replying with a big smile back. He thrown the ball at Nolan, who fell backwards by the force of impact. Nolan grunted,"Ugh, heathen." Gabby looked at Sebastian hiding a small grin,"Sebast! Don't be a jerk." Sebastain chuckled,"Hey, I'm jut trying to keep everyone on their toes." Jackie yawned coming out of the car,"Well, you should mind your own toes. I don't appreciate it." Sebastian grabbed his bag,"C'mon, don't be chicken. We came here to have a rad weekend. You know?" Skid slid between gabby and Hailey with a big smile,"Hell yeah, I don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on partying till I pass out."

He and Jackie cheered beating the side of the van till maverick stepped out again with a sad look on his face. Holding a stack of books to his chest. Maverick straighten his back,"Would you two please to attempt to control yourselves? I was hoping to take a chance in peace and quiet to read." Nolan pulled his bag out," Seriously? Who the heck brings books to a weekly rager?" Maverick looked down as being second tallest in the group, staring with his glasses shining," Well, pardon me if I don't find much gratification in getting blackout." Eddie held up games," I don't know about blackout, but I brought some video games! Any of you noobs up for a challenge?" Hailey rolled her eyes and chuckled," Uh, you brought games? Koala, I don't think this place even has electricity."

Sebastian hoisted gabby's bag on his shoulder as some already head inside picking out their rooms," Geez. How'd we wind up with all you nerds? Come on, tell me one of you are down to go wild this weekend." Nolan shrugged. Hailey smiled,"What bout you gabby?" She grinned picking up Hailey for a piggy back ride,"Im honestly up for going crazy to let loose. We've had so much on our plates. We deserved to let off some steam!" Skid high fived gabby,"Yeah! That's what I'm talking about. *hic*"

Jackie laughed,"Someone already gotten a drink." Skid does a cartwheel heading into the cabin. Everyone already headed inside cheering but Hailey was left looking at the van hesitating. Eddie stepped outside questioning her,"What's on your mind?" She but her lip,"I felt like we forgot something." Something in the van fell making a small thud, but loud enough to make their hearts jump. Her hands started shaking,"W-What's that...?" Eddie did a heroic pose pulling out his pocket knife,"I'll save you panda!" He runs the van pulling out something small with white and brown fur. Her face lit up,"Its nephew!" She hugged the small shi-tzu,"Jack!"
    Suddenly, the night air was splitter by a sharp whistle. Sebastian waving by the porch,"Guys the party isn't gonna throw itself! Don't tell me you're scared!" A gust of wind blew through the trees, emitting and eerie rustling noise. Hailey nodded,"Yeah, I agree. I'd rather get inside at this point." Eddie nodded in agreement,"Yeah, let's head in." Just as he finished his sentence wind started to kick up with a side of rain.
Gabby placed a stack of Mavericks books on the table and she soon felt a cold hand on the back of her neck. She turned around slapping his hand. Sebastian laughed,"Haha you should've seen your face." Jack gave the look of disapproval. Gabby punched him in the shoulder,"Why would you scare me like that?! This place is already creepy enough." Sebastian grinned,"Let me give you a bigger target." As he took off his shirt,"Better?" She stared at him giving him a good hard stare,"No." He smiled,"C'mon babe, don't get mad at me. Let me make it up to you." Gabby rolled her eyes,"Put your shirt back on." He wrapped his arms around her,"Awww. Fine, in a bit." Skid continued walking over with his drink,"Anyone up for a game...*hic*" Eddie looked as he became tense over Hailey,"N-o" She let out a small cute laughed,"In a bit." Jackie continued to drink and make a lot of hiccups. She was a happy drunk, giggling and everything.
As the wind picked up outside, the friends gathered inside the cabin. Nolan had a big grin on his face as he looked out the window,"I'm bored!" Gabby, hailey, and Eddie raised their heads as they were busy in a card game. Hailey questioned,"Yeah Same." Nolan sat by the campfire with his legs crossed,"How about we tell some campfire stories? And see who is the bravest?" Jackie smiles as she slammed her book closed,"Haha. Your on." 
    The group sat around surrounding Nolan, as he pulled a dusty stool under him. Hailey and eddie sat next to eachother as he wrapped his arm resting on the back of the couch. With gabby laying against Sebastian. Maverick closed his book and adjusted his glasses,"I accept your challenge. Let's get on with it." Nolan adjusted himself on the worn out stool,"Ok..I'm gonna tell you a story...that will scare your pants off..."
     Gabby joked,"Ok, Sebastain already lost his shirt already tonight, I don't want to see anymore of his stripping issues" Sebastain laughed,"It was just a joke babe. I promise I won't." Eddie slid a can of pringles to Hailey as she held jack and her face lit up as she grabbed the pringles and shoved it in her face. Nolan cracked his fingers,"So...minus the comments everyone made. I'm gonna tell you a story, about the killer that walked these woods. Who killed everyone who previously stayed in this very cabin..."
