CM: Hello there ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 99th Hunger Games. With only one year to go until the famed Fourth Quell, let me tell you that excitement in the Capitol could not be any higher! We are literally bursting at the seams here waiting for these Games to start! The tributes are on the trains approaching the Capitol and we are making sure that they will get the warmest possible welcome. So while we wait for that, it's over to our information diggers in the districts to find out what they've managed to discover about this year's tributes! And we will start with District One and the lovely Tamzin Parwaite!
TP: Hello there Carmen, and thank you for that delightful welcome. District One is still very excited, aren't you guys? [cheers] They think they've got a winner for sure this year, and after looking into these tributes I have to say that I'm inclined to agree! So, shall I start with ladies first?
CM: Go ahead, Tamzin, we're all listening...
TP: Good! Well, this may surprise you, but I couldn't find much information about Jewel. It sounds like the gorgeous girlie spends most of her time in, erm...
CM: You can say 'training centre', Tamzin, we honestly don't mind!
TP: Oh, well in that case our young lady has been spending most of her time in the training centres, so nobody here knows much about her. But surely that's a good sign, right?
CM: It is indeed! So tell us, Tamzin, what about Trey? There's a few ladies stood behind me who are very eager to know a little more about him! [shouts of 'we love you, Trey! from behind camera]
TP: Calm down, ladies, he can't hear you yet! Well, I can tell you that if Jewel has been training constantly, Trey already has a huge advantage; his father is one of the trainers. So expect a boy who can wield a weapon, ladies! [wolf-whistles]
CM: Thank you very much for that, Tamzin! You have fun there!
TP: Don't worry, I will! You go and move on now!
CM: We sure will, Tamzin! Zarim Lox, over in District Two, can you hear me?
ZL: Yes we can, Carmen, and can I just say that District Two is plainly more excited than District One this year, am I right? [deafening cheers]
CM: Well you know I hate to pick favourites, Zarim, but it certainly sounds like it! So tell me, what have you got on our girl?
ZL: Savannah? She's a beauty, isn't she? And gentlemen, she's still single! Now, thinking about the Games, it turns out that your Two female tribute is split in two, people! Her mother refused to speak to us, and her father - a prominent Peacekeeper, nonetheless! - tells us that this is because she disagrees with the concept of the Games! I know! But still, I've been told that Savannah is a very determined young lady, so expect her to go all out for the win!
CM: We certainly will Zarim; Savannah already has some fans here in the Capitol! So what about that huge hunk of meat? [cheers and whistles]
ZL: Oh, you mean Jax? For a moment there I thought you were talking about me...hands off, ladies, I'm spoken for!
CM: Don't flatter yourself, Zarim! We want to hear about Jax, not about you!
ZL: Are you sure? Oh, okay, I'll move on. Well, Jax Railin. His family are hard to ignore, let me tell you that. They haven’t stopped telling me how proud they are of their boy. Now, we hear that the boy is already familiar with the Capitol, thanks to some business trips from his father, but we also hear – and you’ll like this, ladies – that he’s a bit of a rough diamond...
