Third person
A young girl of 20 pulls up outside of Pickerington Middle School. She puts her jeep into park and looks at the passenger seat, a 7th grader sits in the passenger's seat looking terrified.
"Hey you'll be fine, Mercy" the 20 year old smiled softly. "Don't think of everything that could go wrong, think of everything that could go right," she added.
The little girl nodded, "thanks Des," Mercy said.
"Now get put of my car! I have to go to work," Des said playfully. Mercy grabbed her backpack and got out of the car, closing the door. Des rolled down the window.
"I'll come get you after school, call me if anything goes wrong and I'll come pick you up ok," she added kindly, knowing first day of middle school is always hard.
"Bye sis," Mercy said waving as her sister drove away, she than ran into school.

Des' POV
As I drove to the recording studio I got a phone call from Tobias. I put the phone on to bluetooth and picked up.
"Heyyy Toby~" I said, I may have a crush on him and have since we were ten.
"Destiny! Babe!" He exclaimed. I suddenly felt my cheeks burn.
"Babe?" I questioned, my voice cracking.
"Ya, I heard brunette with the eye patch call you that so I thought it was like a thing close friends do," He said, confused. I could feel the burning sensation cool as he spoke.
"Um...no...it's more of a girl thing Tobs," I explained as my hands tightened on the wheel. "Anyway Toby, what did ya call for?"
"Oh uh.....I just wanted to catch up....maybe have a Horror movie binge at your house after you pick up Marcy," he fumbled, that's weird...I thought he was going out with his bitch of a girlfriend tonight.
"Wouldn't rather goof off with the guys from you baseball team?" I asked deciding to avoid the topic of Marlee for now.
"Nah, I'd rather hang with my bestie~" he said trying to imitate a girl. "You girls say that right?"
I laughed, "yes, but bitch is used more." He lets out a sigh. "Anyway I'm down, but you're bringing pizza, and I swear if you cheat out on my garlic bread I'll hit!" I added.
"Fine, but you better pay for half!" He exclaimed. "Bai!" He hung up. I let out a frustrated groan. Why do I do this to myself!!!

I was sitting watching IT with Toby when suddenly he fell onto my shoulder, sound asleep.
He started mumbling some weird but concerning shit. Must be the horror movies getting to him I thought as I ran my fingers through his messy firey red hair.
It was quite apart from the movie and Toby's snores, that was until I heard a scream from upstairs. Mercy! I shot off the couch leaving the now wide awake Tobias to face plant onto the cushions. I ran to the safe hidden in the linen closet and unlocked it grabbing my pistol, I looked behind me to see Toby with his baseball bat. We ran up the stairs and I kicked my little sister's door open to see a horrific sight.
"D-D-DESTINY! HE-HELP ME! IT'S TRYING TO G-GET IN!!" Mercy was in the corner with a lamp in her hand crying. I looked at the window to see rotting flesh, beady red eyes, claw like hands and a hungry grotesque mouth shrieking and clawing at the one thing keeping it from us. I raised my gun and shot right through the window and into it's head, killing it instantly.
I was about to run to Mercy when my phone went off, alerting me to a new and urgent message. It was from Lila.
"I've fucked up, come to Star Co. Labs now! And bring Mercy, hurry!"
"Toby go home," I said. "And prepare for the worst...."
"Des what's going on?" He asked looking at the window and back at me, the fear in his eyes was so intense it spread to mine.
A hushed voice was all I could manage when I replied, "it's here, the Apocalypse has started...."
