Bzzzz, Bzzzz.

I woke up at 12PM the next day to hear my phone vibrating annoyingly. I tried to find it, but when I opened my eyes, I could only tell where the side of my face was. My right eye was swollen shut, and I had an awful migraine. I cautiously opened my left eye to view my phone, and luckily I could.

"Where are you at? You totally bailed on me this morning!"

The text was from Amelia. Shouldn't I tell my best friend? I had to right? I couldn't keep my body a secret, that in its own was a red flag.

I slowly replied.

"Come to my house. I need to tell you something."

After I sent it however, something didn't feel right. If I told Amelia, wouldn't that put her at risk as well? If I told her, knowing her, she would want to investigate, and if she finds one clue she would eventually find my attacker. I couldn't delete the text however, and I had no time to waste. She was probably already on her way.

I carefully got out of bed, and noticed something slippery underneath me. I looked down with my left eye and horror filled my veins. There was blood, and plenty of it. I had lost a large amount of blood last night, and I now realized why my migraine woke me up this morning. As I stood up though, I suddenly lost my balance and became very dizzy. Stars spun around my room, and I began to feel very ill. How much blood did I actually lose, and how much time did I have before I lost too much?

I knelt down to the bottom of my bed, and sat there trying to calm my nerves by breathing in and out very calmly. It only helped a little, the naseua stuck around, and my migraine went nowhere. I looked to the left of me, and spotted my bathroom, and so I began to crawl into it.

Once I reached my bathroom, I laid down on the cold tiles to rest. I only crawled a matter of 5 feet, but I couldn't go any further. I was exhausted, and I no longer felt pain.

When would Amelia come and find me? When would she figure out that I might be close to death? When would she come to rescue me? And more importantly, when would she come to ask the many questions she'd have?

"Eric? Are you awake?"

My eyelids were flooded with a gray light all around me, and I heard a voice I was familiar with. I cautiously opened my eyes to find myself under bright shining flourescent lights. They were rectangular, and extremely bright. My eyes tried to adjust, but I had to close them for just a second.

"Who's there?" I asked nervously.

"S-shh. It's Amelia. You're going to be alright. Take it easy. I'm here for you."

She gently wrapped my hand into hers, and for a moment I felt safe; pain exited my body, but only for a moment. It came back with a sharp jolt, and I tensed very quickly, and then cautiously relaxed again.

"Did they do this to you?" Amelia said in a hushed tone, almost a whisper.

"Who's they?"

"Thomas, Sasha, Jules, or Percy? Did they do this?"

It took all the strenght I had to forcefully say,

"N-no."

I paused for a moment. I tried to open my eyes again, and suddenly it was much easier to do so than my previous attempt.

I looked to my right, and saw the stunning Amelia. Her hair a beautiful auburn brown, her lips red with rose red lipstick, and her face doused in makeup. This wasn't the norm for Amelia, but I didn't mind. I didn't want to say anything, she seemed to also enjoy it. She smiled as she saw me looking at her and said,
