(click clonk click clonk)
The sound, the sound of the grandfathers clock ticking down the hall which I barley never saw.
I remember perfectly how it sounds I began humming its rhythm.
Soon my humming turns into words.
''Click clonk...click clonk'' I kept repeating it.
I was lookin down only too see the wet floor I didn't touch.
I was hanging.
My hands were chained up on the brick wall, while my back was touching its cold brick.
The tiny room I was in had only one door.
That door was slightly open where light was beaming from the outside, but on the inside it was basically pitch black.
I suddenly felt wetness on my wrist, I tardily turn my head feeling my long blonde hair stick to the back of my neck and forehead, only to see sticky hot blood pouring out of my wrist.
I must have cut myself with the iron chains I thought.
This has became a everyday thing for me.
Ever since that fateful day, when the man found-NO...found is definitely not the word to put it...TOOK me is better.
I was just having a tea party with my toys in my old backyard when a heavy shadow was standing over me.
When you first see the man he looks like a friendly neighbor or some nice fellow but he wasn't.
I was only six back then so I didn't really care that he was in my backyard, I should've.
I distinctively remember how he looked back then.
He had a huge brown dress coat, a regular black shirt, and black jeans, black boots, he was a white man with a black short beard and slick pitch black hair, and his eyes were as blue as the sky.
At the time I just smiled at him but now I cower in fear in front of him.
He said to me ''Hey little girl, you want to go somewhere better than here?" He had a huge creepy smile on his face. That should've been a warning sign for me but....it was not.
I was so eager to go somewhere better than my poor house and poor family, we had been living off of oatmeal,Cheerios, and bread for days so I agreed.
I took my tiny hand into his and went to his truck not telling my parents or my twin sisters that I was leaving with a man I didn't know.
Even till this day the memory eats at me like maggots, slow and painful. Chipping at my every being. Instead of it killing me, it instead waited till I had healed to eat at me again.
The man tortures me everyday.
Coming into this room with a whip and strikes at me until I have passed out.
For some unknown reason he hasn't done it today.
I'm grateful about this even a bit over joyed but...... something felt off.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear him come in.
I had spoken to soon.
The doorway light was reflecting his tall structure of a body but not enough to let me see his terrifying face. What I did see was his overalls covered in blood that looked new.
I gulped.
"Hey there sweet pea" I grimace at his stupid nickname that he gave me.
At each step he took towards me, made me feel even more uncomfortable.
