After having searched the woods and house more than once, Diana was panicking. Something had happened to her parents and what happened may come back to her.

Diana's head shot up as she saw a flicker of red moving in the woods. It was the fur of a wolf walking out of the woods. She had taken care of him since he was a pup, she even named him Dakota.

She watched with sad eyes as he ... (under major editing bc I am unhappy with it lol)

Diana decided to take a chance. She was going to find her parents. She was going to be with her family again. Only, in order to do that, she had to expose herself. She has to do what she was told to never do. Diana had to leave home.

Diana quickly ran inside. She packed a small bag of necessary items and clothes. She even thought to take the small amount of money her parents had stowed away in case of emergencies. Grabbing a cloak for a couple of reasons, Diana walked outside of her home.

The wolves were still there when she walked outside. Some were laying down while others were still sniffing around. Diana could smell the scents herself but she couldn't track it. It was too late for her to do so. These scents had actually left Diana wondering what a human smelt like because they were all similar to her parents scents.

Diana sighed and shook her head. She looked over her shoulder with sad eyes.

"I'll be back."

The wolves watched as Diana ran away from the only place she has ever known. The only place that she has memories and she was leaving it. Whether it was for a short amount of time or not, she was leaving.

Diana ran and ran until she was at the border of the woods. Diana stopped just before she would be visible to anyone on the other side.

She just watched as cars drove by on the road leading to civilization. When there were no cars in sight, Diana continued her journey to the city.

Diana was about ten miles away from the city when she started to smell the unfamiliar scent of it and the scents within. She was intrigued and shocked by the smell of it.

It was all just so sudden and even from here, she could pick out one in particular scent. One that made her hungry and almost had her running to find it. Diana bit her lip and drew blood in an attempt to control herself.

Diana lifted the hood of her cloak. The roads were getting bigger and she was seeing houses now. Also, she was walking on the side of the road so as to not raise suspicions.

She felt her eyes involuntarily change colors as she walked by one house. It smelt extrordinarily good compared to her home. Diana paused in front of the house. She was curious about the scent and wanted to experience more of it. But that was not the reason she was there, so, she moved on.

Diana had seen no one walking outside yet and she was grateful for it. She didn't know how to react to another. How to speak with them really. After all, she's only ever been with her family.

A few houses here and there turned into towns and those towns turned into the city. Diana has read on the internet that the vampire prince might be living here and that made her nervous. She needed to get in and out quickly.

Currently, Diana was right on the outskirts of the city. She was standing in the little bit of forest left with her right hand on a tree. She could smell just about everything and was enjoying it. She felt guilty but she couldn't help but gulp down air, the scents really.

Diana dug her nails into the tree as she tried to regain her self-control. She was breathing heavily by the time she had. Diana knew she was lucky since no one was there to witness her loss of control. She knew now that she might not be ready to see the world but she also knew that she had no choice if she expected to find her parents.

Diana's hand slowly slid off the tree. She had to go; for her parents. She wished to see the world and didn't realize the cost at which she might have to pay. A tear slid down her face as Diana took a step towards the city.
