I woke up to one of the maids placing a tray of food on my nightstand, I didn't have the opportunity to thank the woman because she walked out the room as quickly as she came in. I let out a loud groan when I noticed the bright light that was shining through the windows, which were located exactly in front of the bed. I silently ate my breakfast while letting my eyes wander around the new room of mine, it contained a fireplace, a wall that was covered in books and a black piano in the corner of the room. I didn't understand why it was necessary for me to have a room of my own, it would be more comfortable if I got to share one with my sister. I decided to take a shower and brush my teeth, before heading downstairs to talk to my uncle about all of this.

As I expected, Bella was already in the kitchen, correcting people on how to make her breakfast. She's an amazing cook, while my specialty is eating the food someone else has made for me. ''Aurora, can you believe that they don't know how to make foul or hummus? I'm actually offended.'' I just looked at her tiredly, ''Bella, I don't even know how to make that. Just show them how it's done and be kind towards them.'', which made her nod excitingly before rushing to one of the chefs.

I suddenly noticed how quiet the house was today, even the guards were gone from their positions. Our uncle must have gone earlier to work, I thought before heading back towards my room, but quickly stopped when I remembered that dark hallway from last night. It just gave me a weird feeling and I suddenly felt a wave of shivers run down my spine.

''Don't you fucking understand English?''

I was standing in front of that door again, but was once again stopped by the same man from last night. I felt him harshly grab my arm and drag me towards my room, ''Could you fucking let me go? What is wrong with you?'', I yell at him while trying to make him let go of me.

He decided to ignore me and act as if he wasn't a maniac who currently was dragging me by my left arm, which if I may add was already bruising by his harsh grip. The guard suddenly stopped, ''I just don't understand why you can't take orders. As your uncle said, it's for your own fucking good.''.

''I wasn't doing on it purpose, it- it was just suddenly there.'', I tried explaining myself but it wasn't working very well, especially since I was way more intrigued by his blue ocean eyes. It was like staring straight into a morning sky without any clouds, it was really breathtaking. This man should have a color named after him, calling them blue was an understatement. I shook my head, ''But I still don't get-'', I wasn't able to finish my sentence since my phone started ringing and vibrating loudly in my pocket. I put my index finger up, signaling that our conversation wasn't over yet but he just shook his head and walked away from me. Asshole.

''Good afternoon, Aurora. I'm just calling you to remind you of our dinner tonight, we have a lot to discuss.'', I heard him calmly say. It was always ironic how different my father and uncle were, we would always talk about how easy going my father was while my uncle seemed to be strictly professional about everything even his own family. However, I can sincerely never complain about him since he's gotten out of his way to help us and I'm forever thankful for that. He helped me take care of Bella when I couldn't anymore and he's already given her more than I ever could.

It felt horrible not being able to provide something for someone you love, or for someone who you literally would sacrifice yourself for if it meant that they were safe. I used to wake up in the middle of the night without an explanation but I then realized that I had been sobbing while dreaming. I had to silent my sobbing every night, I never wanted Bella to hear me being unstable since it would probably stress her out. I remember one night when I thought that I had been quiet, I had suddenly felt her squeeze my hand but she never said anything about it.

''Yeah, I'll be there. Uncle, I was thinking about starting working again. I want to provide with something while being here and-'', she was abruptly interrupted by her uncle's laugh.

''You won't be working while I'm here. Don't be silly. That discussion is over.'', he says while continuing laughing, ''I'm here to help you, why would I let my precious niece work?''.

It felt weird to rely on someone else, I wasn't used to having someone helping me without them wanting something in return. I have learned that not everyone wants to see you succeed or be happy in life, it's really important to not trust anyone.

I shook my head before answering him, ''I would just feel more comfortable if I was doing something useful instead of wandering the halls of this mansion. But let's just discuss this later tonight.'', I knew that he wouldn't change his mind on the matter and I wasn't in the mood to argue with him. He sighed, ''Alright, is there anything else you want to ask me about?'', I realized that I hadn't asked him about the locked rooms in that dark hallway. This was the perfect time, I just needed to know what that grinch was guarding.

''Well I was exploring the mansion last night'', I said without mentioning that I had been investigating the hallways twice, ''I noticed that there were a couple of doors that were completely locked and there was a man who kept telling me that you had ordered us to stay away''. It might have been a bit overdramatic but it was practically an order. Although it's his property, it literally gives him the right to lock any door he wanted.

There was complete silence through the phone until I heard my uncle take a deep breath, ''Aurora, I probably should've told you before, but what I do is extremely important.''. What the fuck does that even mean? Important as he's working for the government or as a manager for some boyband? I was even more confused now than I was before, which wasn't really that great for my curiosity.

''Important? What do you mean, Amo?'', I sighed before asking him. It felt as if he was either being overdramatic or not being dramatic enough about what he's hiding from me. I slowly walked into my room and sat down on the bed while looking at the phone to reassure myself that he hadn't hung up.

''I can't tell you anything on the phone, just don't go back there,'' he said with a demanding voice. I was about to ask him another question when I quickly got interrupted by him, ''You have to understand, Aurora. I'm not keeping you away from that room. I'm keeping someone away from you.''.
