My first entire is about a little gelato parlor in Rome. Though the shop is small I can guarantee the gelati there is bursting with big flavor!
The shop's name is Gelateria Valentino. The man behind the counter is Valentino himself.
You could try up to 3 flavors at a time. Valentino would tell you which flavor to have first then second and then third so you get a sweet taste in the beginning a taste of your favorite flavor in the middle and a nice refreshed taste at the end.
If you get a cone Valentino would put the last flavor in the cone with it scooped on the top then the first two ontop of the last flavor and put a mini cone sticking out of the gelato so together it would represent Pinocchio. Florence is known for their Pinocchio and has spread throughout Italy. This cute idea was probably my favorite part. The last flavor represents the head while the other two are the eyes and the mini cone represents Pinocchio's nose.
For the rest of my stay in Rome I had gone to the small shop everyday and tried a new flavor each day. I have to say that all the flavors are amazing!
The Dark chocolate flavor was probably the best! At first sight my mom thought it would be bad but after trying she was in love and so was I.
I've always been a fan of lemon so I have to say that it was also very tasty.
All the flavors are absolutely exquisite.
