Delta sat at the edge of her bed, her mind wizzing over the events of the precious day. It was only her second day in Obrion, but it felt as if she's been here for years.

The entire town knew of her already, that's to the ball held last night. Soon after Stratton left, a dance was performed in which everyone participated, moving, gliding and striding in sync. Delta, of course, was excluded, watching from the sidelines.

After the dance, people greeted one last time before leaving, and soon after, the ball room was dead, as if no one has even been there before.

Today was warmer than it was yesterday, which was slightly annoying since Marcia planned for Delta to wear fully fitted gowns for the next few weeks. All her shorts and designer dresses were still in her suitcase, untouched and unbothered.

But Delta, she was bothered. She couldn't fathom what had happened yesterday with Stratton. Her family was so cold towards him, and he was so proud, and no one else seemed to notice the tention.

Something had definitely happened between them, but what was it? Delta knew that she shouldn't get involved. Not with a thief, and not with the personal matters of her newfound family. She'd just have to let it pass like the east wind, but it perturbed her on different levels.

Pressing hard on her keypad, Delta tried to find a good connection on her laptop. She walked around the entire room with it, even climbed the headboard, but she returned unsuccessful.

She threw the laptop on her bed and charged for the dressing room as soon as she caught the time. She was expected down in half an hour, and she still had to get dressed.

Today's clothes were neutral - a lilac high waisted skirt and a peach and lilac top that covered half her arms in a fitting net.

She opted for three inch peach kitten heels and pleated her hair on the side. Smiling in the mirror, Delta was satisfied with her work. Now if she could just get an Internet connection and show her friends how she had to dress here!

The halls downstairs weren't as eery as upstairs. There was a flickering light coming from the kitchen and light voices like a falling bead patterning the halls coming from the dining room.

Leda sat directly opposite from Archer who sat on the right of lady Withlock who sat at the head today as well.

Delta took a seat next to Archer and greeted everyone.

"How nice, you made it for breakfast  today." Leda said, Archer snickering quietly.

"Don't let her bother you." He said and poured himself some juice.

Delta loved the setting of the table. Dishes were coring the light lace covers, fruits and breads filling the glass and wooden baskets. Jugs of juice were neatly spread across the table, even though only four people were present.

As if reading her mind, two men entered the dining hall and took there seats besides Leda.

One of them - Coal - as they introduced him, was dressed in a dark blue suit, similar to the one Archer wore the night before. He had greying hair, but wore it confidently in a neat combed back hair style.

The other was quieter and seemed younger. His suit was also blue, but much lighter, as if he was trying to compete with the bright sky today.

"This is Fischer." Archer said and passed a pot of boiling tea in their direction.

The men conversed as if they knew the people of the house as their own, but Delta had never seen them before. Not even last night at the ball, where very one from the town was invited.
