Five steps Emma. Just five steps. One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

I opened the door to the hall and walked in. Everyone's eyes turned to me. I was late for about an hour and there was already a speech going on so my loud barging caused attention. I calmed myself down, reminding myself why I was here.

I was strong. CEO. CEO. CEO.

I breathed in and smiled, walking into the huge room, passing the people gawking at me. I looked at the side wall which seemed to have information on it. I walked directly to it and read the list, showing people where to sit.

I looked down to my name and saw Table #5 next to it. Looking around I noticed a large table directly in the middle, the number 5 apparent. Quickly, pushing myself to it, I finally tuned into the person on the stage, listening to what they were saying.

"Hey guys, so I'm Hannah Nanton, I work in retail now," I smiled remembering her enthusiasm still remained. "So, tonight well have many fun activities and I urge you to stay with the group that you are in unless you are called onto the stage." I finally arrived at the table to see many people, including some surprising faces.

I could kind of identify them but, there was this rugged older look to them that put me off a bit. My eyes landed on this one guy who was sitting opposite from me and I immediately stiffened and settled a small smile, realizing who it was. It was Noah Thompson. During our year, he was considered one of the most popular guys in the school and I understand why he was very easy on the eyes. However, he would scare most people off because of the wanting to be alone thing and staying in his small group of friends of people who didn't go to our school.

We never had any interactions but, every so often, I swear I could catch him looking at me. He was actually probably one of the only people I didn't cry because of since he never was the when anybody "hurt" me or did anything to me.

"Okay guys, we'll go around every table and introduce yourself," Hannah said. I looked back at Noah and noticed him looking around. He was probably looking for someone. I shook my head and looked at the people who were introducing themselves. Table 1 went first and I noticed some familiar people who were at the rally on the field and when I was tied.

Next Table 2 introduced themselves. I saw Jen. I remembered when I was crying in the bathroom and she slipped me some tissues but, then the day after pushed me hard but, she was probably made to do it, so I didn't really carry any resentment.

Table 3 had almost all unfamiliar faces or I didn't remember them. Then it hit table 4 and I breathed deeply. Crystal stood up immediately and looked at everyone with a huge smile. "Hi guys, I'm Crystal as you guys all know. Well, nice to see you all, it seems some people aren't here but, oh well. All love." I cringed at the last sentence. After she stood up Daniel and I rolled my eyes. Although I had a gigantic crush on him when I was younger, I kind of realized how dumb it was. He turned and winked at me causing me to gag a bit.

"Hey sweethearts, I'm Daniel," he licked his lips. He was honestly disgusting, acting like women were his personal playthings, what really was wrong with me back then. After he sat down, one by one, the football team introduced themselves, some of them looked exactly the same as they had never grown up, having their baby faces.

Now it was Table 5. Nobody stood up so, I immediately stood and spoke. Breathing in deeply, my heart pounded in my chest but, I ignored it, looking at the crowd. I imagined Zane and Jessie were in front of me listening to me.

"Hi, I'm Emily Williams." Just as I was about to sit down, someone called out, "did you get fucking plastic surgery?"

I smiled and answered, "its been ten years, lost weight as normal people do."
