A Daring Halloween

~Morning~

Crystal woke up. "*Yawns* I wish that I could have slept well last night *Yawns*" Crystal said sleepily. Someone enters Crystal's room wearing a witch hat. "Happy Halloween Crystal"!!! Phoenix said happily. "*Yawns* Happy Halloween Phoenix". "Don't you dare sleep on me, Crystal" Phoenix said childishly. "Sorry. I didn't have enough sleep last night" Crystal yawns. "Okay, I'll let you sleep a bit" Phoenix said as she left Crystal's room. Crystal tries to go back to sleep.

~ A Few Hours Later~

Crystal woke up and she went downstairs. While she was going downstairs she felt something pass through her. She froze from it and carefully continued going downstairs. When she got to the bottom, she saw the closet door was open. Then the closet door unexpectedly closed by itself. Crystal quickly hides behind the couch. When she looked up, there was nothing. She nervously goes to the closet door. When she opens it, nothing was inside? "BOO"!! "AHHHH"!! Crystal stumbles into the closet and when she turns around she saw Phoenix. "Good afternoon Crystal"! Phoenix said. Crystal couldn't say anything, she was in shock when Phoenix scared her. "Sorry if I scared you that bad" Phoenix said as she lends a hand to Crystal, but she moves back away from her. "I'm sorry Crystal," Phoenix said as she got closer to her. Crystal turns into her arctic fox form and quickly ran all the way to her room and locked her door. "Crystal"? Phoenix knocks on the door but there was no response. "Crystal please open up! I'm sorry that I've scared you". Phoenix said outside her door. Crystal unlocks her door and she opens it a little bit. "Promise me that you wouldn't scare me again". Crystal said. "Yes, I promise you". Crystal opens her door all the way, she was back to her human self. Phoenix hugs her. "And I promise to make sure no one else scares you, okay". "Okay". Crystal hugs Phoenix back.

~When the clock had struck to the old Halloween fashion trick-or-treating time~

"Hey Crystal! Are you ready"? Phoenix said from downstairs. For her costume, she's wearing Ruby's outfit from Steven Universe. "Yeah be right there"! Crystal said. She came downstairs wearing Sapphire's outfit also from Steven Universe. "Are you ready for trick-or-treating with everyone"! Phoenix said excitedly. "Yup! Let's go"!

They met up with everyone else and they all went trick-or-treating. In some of the houses, there were scary acts that tried to scare people. Every time someone comes out of nowhere and tries scaring Crystal, she would quickly run or hide from them.

It was almost time for everyone to go home. Most of the group split off into different directions while the rest of the group continued on the same path. On the way to the next house, Delta and Leo had stopped everyone because they saw a mansion that no one went up too while they were about to go to the next house. They've heard a rumor that the place was haunted when they were at a recent house but Leo and Delta didn't believe it. "Hey Leo, if you aren't a chicken, then I dare you to stay in there for an hour". Delta challenged Leo. "If you weren't a chicken then I dare you to spend a night there". "You just said that because you don't want to go in"! "You two, stop acting like children". Ash said. "Why are you scare Ash"? Delta teased him. "No, but we shouldn't go up inside a place that we know nothing about". "Ya know, Ash is right," Leo said. "Yup, I volunteer Crystal to spend a night there and she'll come and tell us what she had experienced inside". "W-What"?? "No! Delta don't you even dare! Don't dare her to go in that place, are you crazy"! Phoenix stand up to Crystal. "Fine then, how about you"? "So you are letting everyone take a risk right now"!? Phoenix said upset with Delta. "If you don't go, then she will". "What about you then"? Phoenix said back to him. "B-Because" Delta didn't know what to say. "Fine then! I'll spend the whole night there and to show you who's the bigger chicken" Phoenix started to walk towards the mansion. While she was walking there, she heard something behind her.
